Alright hear me now, it was my birthday not that long ago and I decided to hit up Andy’s Banging Burgers, a place that has been referred to as the ‘halal Five Guys’—of course, I was required to find out for myself if that was the case. I didn’t really believe they could compete with such a well-established fast food restaurant, but I had some hope and choosing to go there on my birthday was already a big thing and I was honestly really excited to try it.. The staff were friendly and accommodating; almost a necessity given that most people were ordering customised meals, which I believe warrants a great deal of patience. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue, but I understand that they were busy with what looked like Queen Mary students, their campus being not too far away from the restaurant. I got a double patty burger with a lot of toppings and sauce since, just like Five Guys, there’s an unlimited amount of both that you can add to your burger. Presentation therefore was a bit of a miss on that account, but as there were a lot of toppings in the burger I won’t criticise that too harshly. I can, however, complain about the patties, which weren’t very good. They were under-seasoned and quite flimsy, breaking apart as I ate. The flavour, too, was severely lacking, and couldn’t even be aided by the sauces I got (chipotle mayo, burger sauce, and a tub of barbecue sauce). On top of all of that, the cheese wasn’t great either. If you go there, I would suggest choosing your toppings and sauces wisely. Perhaps going simpler would be best. 4.7/10 Fries After a disappointing burger, I was pleased to find that the fries were pretty decent. They were skin on fries (just like five guys), slightly salted and of an portion surpassing most fast food restaurants. Maybe next time they should leave them in the fryer for a bit longer to enhance the crispness, but they were decently fluffy resulting in them being quite satisfying. 6.4/10 Pineapple juice One thing I can say about this place is that their drink selection was brilliant. Though they’re not refillable, they were very refreshing. Perhaps getting a refillable drinks stand is something to consider, but first they would need a a bigger place as the location was quite small. 8.5/10 Overall culinary experience score: 5.6/10 For more reviews check out my insta sjtalks_

An affordable - filling meal in London that I enjoy going back to is @andysburgers_uk I got their double beef burger meal, consisting of a double beef burger, medium chips & a medium drink. The double beef burger is ideal if you enjoy lots of toppings and condiments; mine was full of cheese, beef bacon, tobacco onions, jalapeño peppers, lettuce, truffle mayo and chilli jam. I love the various textures yet complimenting flavours you get in this specific combination. There’s no doubt that a build a burger place like #andyslondon is perfect for those who want to play around with flavours and textures and those who are reserved and picky with what toppings they enjoy. From the few times I’ve visited Andys, they’ve been consistent in their seasoning - isn’t under seasoned or over seasoned, it’s in the middle I’ve tried their lemon & lime juice, it’s nice though it has a strong, sharp bitter lemon & lime aftertaste that I’m not fond of though their mango drink is refreshing and is what my friends & I typically opt for. #andysmileend provide hand cut chips that could do with being a bit more crispy. Service was quick to order & staff are very friendly and nice. Andys is a takeaway place though they do have one bench inside for those that want to sit in. Check out the next photo to see what my friends & I ordered All in all, a tasty meal that’s filling & affordable in inner London. Double Beef Burger Meal - £10 Overall I give a 8/10 🥰✨ Eyezrateats on Instagram for more honest reviews

I heard about this place when it was pretty new. All my mates went there a few times before I got the chance to go myself. Very highly rated by by my mates, I had to check it out. When people go on about how good a place is, it usually doesn’t meet your expectations as you expected it to be perfect in every way. I have to say this place didn’t let me down one bit! The place looked good and clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was 11/10! Burger was “BANGING” as the name suggests! It was full of juice and flavour, and every bite was as good as the last one. Gourmet burgers are hard to make like that as usually the middle don’t taste like the sides of the burger. The chips were perfectly salted (not too much or too little), they were crispy and they still had the skin on them! Their choice of drinks is out of the ordinary. This place stands out from your usual eating places! I’d give more stars if I could! My mates and bro told me their consistency of great food is always on point, so I’d definitely recommended if you’re in the area. And if you’re not in the area then I recommend you to travel here to try this place! It’s worth your time and every bite!

Havent had a decent burger in a long time as I have to travel for that. Thought we would try out this place.

We was served by a young gentlman whom I thought was pretty rude. Wanted to confirm if the 3 Beef burgers had the crispy onions (Tabacco Onions) - was told I had mentioned this a Hundred times! If you want a free side of sarcasm this is the place to get it!!

Also ordered a chicken Burger and loaded fries. Looking at the receipt after ordering - found we were getting grilled chicken instead of the fried chicken. When my wife questioned him about the burger she was told they dont have the fried chicken any more. Had we been informed prior to placing the order we would not have ordered the chicken Burger. We didnt receive the loaded chips but we did not get charged for that either (Thank God for that).

Whilst waiting for our food we noticed our bag of food fell from the worktop onto the floor. The chips were replaced. But these guys have taken the meaning of ‘Smashed Burger’ to a new level. (Smash to the floor level).

Chips were cold, soft and under cooked. Maybe they would have tasted different had we eaten in.

The Burgers were flavourless. I ordered Burger sauce as a topping for the sauce could not taste that at all. No crunch from the crispy onions either. Very Disappointed. Not worth the hype.

2 Drinks came with our meal. We went for mango and grape. Drinks were poured from the tap and not cans. Drink from taps tend to be carbonated water mixed with syrup. A cheap sugary drink if thats your choice of drink.

… have you tried the Chinese next door? They dont do Burgers but the Dynamite King...

I went to Andys tried their double beef burgers and with the choice of my toppings, I can say this burger was very nice.

thats all positive i can say about their food, their chips did not taste nice. Over cooked. when i went to pick up my food, i had to wait a further 15mins to get my drink. this was because there is only 1 person taking orders and giving drinks out, even though im already a customer and had paid it would had been ideal to finish the service off to me and see to the next cutomer, but no. I had to wait 15mins and by then my food had gone cold.

After all that, i wanted some sauce for my chips as the chips was very dry. I looked around for sauce, they do not have sauces anywhere. So i asked the guy on the till, i got ignored for 10mins, then the guy making the burger asked me what i wanted, i said sauces for my chips. He told me he will give it, and went away chopping onions and flipping burgers. roughly 14mins went past. i asked anopther staff that i need sauce, he replied his making the sauce, so i decided i dont need the sauce anymore.

i had my burger and some of the sauce from teh burger dripped to my shirt, there was zero tissue so had to use the packaging paper from teh burger bag to wipe the sauce. The staff comes after i finished the food with 2 small pots full of mayo and ketchup.

moral to the story is burger was nice, but dont expect anything more than that. BRING YOUT OWN TISSUE AND SAUCES.

wont be heading there anytime soon.

ps. staff didnt even care, felt like more like a...
