This place was actually really good when it first opened however it has now definitely gone down hill. Firstly, the experience customers have with staff is always key and should be taken into consideration by management. From my count at any one time there was a good 5-6 people behind the counter and one or two additional people cleaning yet it took 45 minutes for us to be served. Reason? The girls were too busy flirting with guys to take orders, and considering the location a lot of Muslim families were there and I for one felt uncomfortable being sat near a table where one of the waitresses and Male customers were flirting. Secondly unless you know someone there you won’t be served, most of the boys walking through were “spudding” Male staff members and having lengthy discussions which obviously takes up time for other customers to be served.
The desserts, ordered a banoffee cheese cake, have to say this was rank, very little to say. Most edible part was the crumb part at the bottom wouldn’t recommend at all. The baklava was Very dry. Cookie dough felt a bit overcooked. Ordered strawberry mojitos these were VERY sweet not like they used to taste before.
Overall, we will not be going again which is a shame it was lovely when it first opened and the decor is stunning to look at but the staff and food quality have really let it down for us second...
Read moreI went to Sweet after having a meal in Kinkao who don't do desserts. We were seen to quite quickly and seated soon after we went in. The first thing I noticed was the servers were all young and needed to be called over instead of being attentive. I ordered old school caramel tart and backlava. I was told the caramel tart doesn't come with custard! I said can I have some it's ok I can pay extra for it. We also asked for some water which came soon afterwards. I found the music a little loud but I guess it's fine for most of the youngsters in there. When we received our desserts it was literally dumped on the table by the server who didn't make eye contact or ask if we needed anything else. The custard which I paid extra for was barely warm and the backlava was drenched in syrup. However, I did enjoy the caramel tart. We also ordered two cookie dough to take away. It took us a while to flag someone down which was ridiculous considering the number of servers that were present. Also after taking our take away order the server rushed away in the middle of us asking for the bill! One of the workers, assuming owner/manager, spoke to the server saying that we were not finished. The server came back to see us and we asked for the bill. Overall, the food was ok, the service team need side training on service as they were...
Read moreWe popped in for some crepes on pancake day. We ordered two mocktails (apple & cherry and the strawberry one) and two crepes, one with banantella and rocher (so this is sliced banana, nutella, ice cream and rocher chocolate on top!) , and a bueno one (this came with chocolate, white chocolate, ice cream, cream and 2 buenos on top!). The place is very nice, looks recently renovated, with comfortable, nice looking furniture, a green wall feature and a big indoor tree, along with some other interesting interior details. The service is very attentive and friendly. They have an extensive offering of crepes, waffles, american pancakes, french toast, baked to order cookie dough, a wide selection of cakes, sandwiches and pastries. Nice place to sit for a quick coffee, a casual dessert after dinner nearby or a group gathering. They have several 4 and 6 seater tables, booths, a large 10 people table and another 12 ish coherent table. Everything is traditional milk, butter, sugar made so we left on a very high sugar high. It's not going to be our go-to place as they dont have gluten free, vegan or low sugar offerings yet, but we will probably be back to try the french toast and the Kashmiri pin chai one Saturday. I was told they open 8 am every day so I think opening hours are...
