Baklava with ice cream is a real showstopper. Flaky, golden-brown pastry layered with a generous helping of crushed pistachios, stuffed with thick, creamy vanilla icecream and finished with a delicate drizzle of syrup. The contrast between the crispy pastry and the smooth, rich filling is nothing short of magic. Plus, that pistachio dusting on top? Chef’s kiss. This is indulgence at its finest!
Kunefe, the King of Desserts
Next up, we’ve got that glorious kunefe—a crispy, buttery, syrup-soaked shredded phyllo pastry stuffed with melted cheese and topped with a mountain of ground pistachios. The cheese pull on this must be legendary, and the balance between crunchy, gooey, sweet, and nutty flavors makes this a must-try dessert. Best eaten hot, with that syrup oozing into every bite.
The Perfect Pairing: Turkish Tea
And let’s not forget the tea—because no proper Turkish dessert experience is complete without it. The slightly bitter, earthy taste of Turkish black tea cuts through the richness of the sweets, making sure you can go in for bite after bite without feeling overwhelmed.
Verdict?
If you love desserts that are rich, buttery, syrupy, and absolutely irresistible, this is a dream come true. Whoever picked this spread knows what they’re doing! If I were there, I’d be fighting for the last bite of...
Read moreI ordered a mock-tail and when I went to take a sip, it smelt horrendous and didn’t taste great, I couldn’t even drink it. I gave it to my friends to try to see if it was just me but they said the same. I’m never really the type to ask for a new drink but I felt something in the drink was definitely gone off and I was paying £6 to not drink it. Upon asking the staff she agreed to give me something else and threw the rest of the drink down the drain.
When it came to paying, the receipt included the mocktail. I double checked with them thinking maybe they may have just forgot to take it off and did not want to pay for a drink which I only had a sip and the rest they threw down the sink. A manager came, he was a man, didn’t get his name but he was so insanely rude I was shocked. He started saying when you take a sip can I then go give that drink to someone else, no, so you will pay for it. I stated that this should’ve been stated before I was given a new drink and my drink was thrown down the sink. He was so insanely rude and even picked up a phone call mid conversation. He spoke to us like we were not even human. I was so shocked, my friend even had to walk out because it was too much. I would not recommend this place to anyone, definitely had better kunefe in...
Read moreWe didn't find what we expected in Antepliler Kunefe yesterday. We went for the first time on a recommendation. We wanted to try the kunefe. However, as soon as we walked in, we were greeted with meaningless attitudes by the staff who were supposed to show us a seat. There was a table for four on the ground floor, and as three of us, we wanted to sit there and asked, but the lady on duty reluctantly confirmed. We did not understand what is going on. Even though our order was came to our table, the serving plates weren't brought to our table. The knives and forks were left in a corner of the table by the same lady on duty and weren't even served. We had to ask another staff member for the plates. We were ready to enjoy the kunefe that arrived, but the attitude we saw hindered that dream. We're not sure if it was because our order was small or for some other reason. However, it's not the quantity of orders, but the respect shown to each customer that increases a business's rating. As a result, we wouldn't even consider to visit again. We wouldn't recommend it either. There are undoubtedly other places that offer the same quality, better service, and...
