Honestly the first Restaurant I have waited 2hours to be served!!
I understand the help out to eat out days are extremely busy with ques outside. Me and my husband waited 30mins outside waiting for a table to be available. Once a table was available we went in, however a table of 11 slide their guest in even though we were waiting before them. We kindly stood in the restaurant waiting for another table to be available. Another 30 atleast went by until the table was available but yet again another couple came into the restaurant and we were told by the owner they had been waiting before us even though we were waiting inside. At this point I was being extremely understanding due to them having only one waitress after an additional 20mins wait we finally got a table only to be forgotten by the waitress for another 20mins until we could order. She was very apologetic however this is where I got really frustrated as our order was taken late but after that a man walked in and another family. There food was served before ours... and in response we got told that originally the man's order was a takeaway but now his eating in. This honestly took the piss. However we waited there patiently... for over 2 hours in this restaurant untill the food came late after each dish we ordered. My husband asked for ice water but got given sparkling water.
Overall the food was pretty good, hopefully it wasn't because we were starving for 2 hours..
Once the biryani came, we asked the guy does it come with yogurt or was it made with yogurt as the menu suggested maybe under pressure he replied in a harsh way its coming.
Honestly I do understand its a family business but they need more staff I don't really understand what the guy behind the till is doing as he could have helped with serving or something in this crisis.
Lovely waitress who was apologetic however the service ruined the whole experiance and quite frankly also my evening.
Won't be going there again. Hopefully services are better on a non...
Read moreI'm sorry but I'm going to have to give you a his a mediocre 3 out of 5. Me and my friend came here, wanting to try the Mixed Grill, thinking it would be the same Mixed Grill as other places, that come with lamb chops, chicken tikka, lamb tikka and seekh kebabs, but this was just two seekh kebabs (each cut into half) and lots of chicken smothered in the sauce (which was very nice BTW, maybe too much sauce). I've had mixed grill one too many times from different eateries all across the UK, ie Tayyabs, Needo Grill and so on, and have a general idea of what's supposed to be in a portion. In this case, there's so much chicken, hardly any lamb, therefore not really mixed, hence shouldn't be called Mixed Grill, an appropriate name would be Grilled Chicken with Seekh kebabs, as you can see from the pictures, it's mostly chicken. It cost us £19.99 which is quiet steep considering it wasn't much, and was mostly chicken, would have been cheaper if we just went Nando's instead to have all that chicken and bought seekh kebabs as take away elsewhere. I get lamb costs more than chicken hence I don't see the justification of this being priced the amount it is. As much as I would love to support a new up and coming business, as I've travelled a long way to come here, I can't help but feel a tad bit...
Read moreWe came for a curry after a couple of drinks and saw that they had good reviews. Sat down ordered popadoms and looked at the menu. No mango chutney, no pickles and the chopped onion and tomato was sad at best. If you like traditional curry; like a korma, bhuna, tikka masala, rogan Josh or vindaloo then don't bother - none of them are on the menu. Fish options are a grey area, all we were told was it comes in gravy, we asked for medium spice and it came out watery and tasting like jam. Our other curries were watery and lacking spice. No cheese naans, no pilau rice (although the mixed vegetable rice is pilau based, so is most likely microwaved). From the menu in the window being completely different to what you’re given at the table, both completely lacklustre, to the plastic plates you get your small portions on, we definitely wont be returning. The spiciest thing we had was the mint yogurt with the popadoms, which actually...
