During my recent visit to Sultan Restaurant, I had the pleasure of experiencing not only delicious food but also truly exceptional service from the staff. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm, genuine smile by the host, who welcomed me as if I were a regular guest. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and well-maintained, with soft lighting, tasteful décor, and a calm, pleasant ambiance that set the tone for what would be a wonderful dining experience.

As I was shown to my table, the server was attentive and courteous, offering to adjust my seating for comfort and making sure I had everything I needed right away. She introduced herself by name, which added a personal touch to the service, and offered water while I browsed the menu. She was knowledgeable about the dishes and made thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences, taking the time to explain ingredients and preparation styles without rushing me.

What impressed me most was how attentive and intuitive the service was throughout the meal. The staff managed to be present without being intrusive. They checked in at just the right moments—offering refills, clearing plates, and asking how the food was—without interrupting the flow of conversation or making me feel hurried. Every request I made was met with a positive attitude and quick response, from minor adjustments to my order to providing extra napkins and condiments.

The entire team seemed to work in harmony, communicating efficiently and moving gracefully around the restaurant. Their professionalism was evident, but so was their friendliness. They made me feel not just like a customer, but like a valued guest. Even as the restaurant got busier, the staff remained calm, composed, and attentive to every table.

At the end of my meal, the server offered dessert options and tea with a warm smile, and when I declined, she didn’t push but instead asked if everything had been to my satisfaction. When I expressed my appreciation for the great service, she humbly thanked me and said, “It’s our pleasure to take care of our guests.”

Before I left, the manager even stopped by to thank me for coming, which was a lovely gesture and showed how much they care about customer satisfaction. It was clear that everyone working there took pride in their role and in the restaurant’s reputation.

Overall, my visit to Sultan Restaurant was made all the more memorable by the outstanding service I received. The staff’s name (FARIA) kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism left a lasting impression, and I will definitely be returning—and recommending it to others—not just for the food, but for the truly exceptional...

➕Impeccable cuisine, ➕outstanding service, and ➕remarkably affordable prices! I have dined at numerous excellent Turkish restaurants, but I cannot remember any of them which had all these aspects in such a good way. From the outset, the warm welcome from hostess lady set a positive tone. Although the restaurant was busy, she quickly found us a seat and placed us there. The ambiance was delightful, and the efficient service from the well-staffed team ensured that there were plenty of smiles all around. After first visit we used to come there more and more. Now, regarding the food: we were treated to complimentary starters of bread and a delightful meze, which set a high standard. The main course, a mixed grill, truly enhanced the overall experience. Each piece of chicken and lamb shish was cooked to perfection, and ➕any kind of meat was very juicy and unforgettable taste, ➕the salad was included to any dish without charges, ➕the bread which is very tasty and fresh and warm was also without charges, ➕homemade souses as well were free, the kofte was free of undesirable bits, and the accompanying sauces complemented the rice as it should in an Anatolian grill. This was an unforgettable dining experience!

To top it off, we were served complimentary Turkish tea and Turkish delight, and then we were astonished by the bill—under £25. We were convinced there had been a mistake and that they had overlooked charging for something. Even after settling the bill and leaving a tip that reflected the exceptional service, we still felt we had not paid enough. This is the most perplexing aspect of the entire experience: how can something so remarkable be so incredibly affordable? Given the size of the restaurant, the employment of top-quality staff, and the use of premium ingredients, it seems miraculous that they can maintain such low prices. When all is considered, this is the finest dining experience we have ever had. Five stars hardly captures how outstanding it...

We came here today for a joint birthday celebration.... 9 people in total. The staff wasn't necessarily very welcoming, but we weren't put off by this. They weren't very busy when we arrived. However, we had to ask for them to take our order and drinks after waiting 15-20 minutes and trying to get the attention of the waiting staff. As I mentioned, this was a birthday celebration (however the birthday guests didn't realise we had a cake for them) after we had our dinner, we quietly asked the staff If they could bring the cake out. Instead, the supervisor had brought the cake out still in the box and said to the birthday person that there were too many cakes in the back and they had to give us the cake back. Shocking!!! Thanks for ruining the surprise!!!! We then ask them to give us the cake and plates. Throughout the dinner, the staff was constantly asking us to hand them over plates and glasses for them to take. I wouldn't mind if everyone had finished eating.... however, this happened at least 4-5 times, even after we said the kids were still eating. This made us feel rushed. After eating the cake, I noticed that both my husband and my drinks had been removed even though it was 3/4 full. When I asked for them to bring it back... they claimed it was finished and that's why they removed it. NOT TRUE... otherwise, I wouldn't have asked for my drink back. After them replacing the drinks they took, the supervisor approached and asked us to leave as its too busy, and they wanted the table back. From the moment we sat down... they asked us to leave after 1 hour and 10 mins. (Even though we waited patiently for 15-20 just to give our order) just over an hour is hardly any time at all, especially for a table of 9. I then proceeded to speak up for the first time that night and mention to him how he handled us as customers was rude and we would not be returning.

Well, thank you for ruining our dinner. Usually we are a party of 15.... but you have now...

Faultless food, spectacular service, yet unbelievably priced! Have eaten at several good Anatolian restaurants, but can't remember one where every element of the experience was awesome in it's own right. Right from the start, the amazing welcome from Atike set the tone. The restaurant was packed but she found us a seat quickly and once more desirable seating became available, moved us immediately. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very good and the swift service from the team (of whom there was no shortage) meant plenty of smiles all around. Now let's get to the food. Complimentary starters of bread and a lovely meze got us going in an impressive manner. Then the main course of mixed grill, really elevated the whole experience. Every piece of chicken & lamb shish cooked to perfection, kofte without the bad bits, along with great sauces all balanced with rice that way it should be in an Anatolian grill. This was an unforgettable dining experience! This lovely meal was followed by complimentary Turkish tea and Turkish delight and then the real surprise was when we got the bill; under £23. We were certain that a mistake had been made and that they'd forgotten to charge for something. Even after paying and leaving a tip to reflect the unbelievably excellent service, we still felt we had not paid enough. And that is the most confusing element of the whole experience. How can something so brilliant, be so damn cheap? The size of the restaurant, hiring top quality staff, using premium ingredients, none of this is inexpensive, yet how they're still able to keep prices so low, is miraculous. Put all this together and this is the best Anatolian dining experience we've ever had. 5 stars does not do justice to how good it was...

Had high hopes for this place but their staff ruined my experience. At the time of my visit the restaurant was busy, so the atmosphere was stuffy and hot. As we were a fairly large group we were waiting on people so I asked one of the waitress that if she can give us a jug of drinking water with ice, whilst we waited. She turned around and said that I cannot have drinking water in a jug but she can give us bottled water. So in a stuffy restaurant, on a warm afternoon, with no air conditioning whatsoever, the waitress refused to give me drinking water as I waited for the rest of the group to join. Absolutely diabolical! 😡 As a result, I went out and brought my own drink. Talk about being hospitable to your paying customer? The food was below average if I'm brutally honest, as I've eaten in alot of Turkish places; however their platters are quite generous. Will I visit there again? Not a chance! Especially if the staff cannot provide mere drinking water to your waiting-paying-customers because the restaurant is worried that it will lose money to drinking water. How was the food? I took my time to taste the food because I didn't want to base my experience from the waitress neglect to give drinking water. Unfortunately the food was sub standard and lacked taste, especially the rice. The bulgar tasted better but just by a tad bit. Rest of the group got desert but I didn't stay because that's how bad my experience was. Shame of you sultan restaurant! 🤨
