As a long-time customer, I’ve always admired how this café delivers not just outstanding coffee and service but a genuine sense of community. Over the years, it has become a local favourite place for Finchley where people meet, connect, and unwind.

With their recent expansion, the café has introduced a more family-oriented section, offering a warm and inclusive environment for everyone. The new section feels authentic and beautifully reflects history and culture that align perfectly with Apollo’s Bakery vision. It enlightens the business, bringing even more light and charm to the atmosphere, making the coffee taste even better. Their delicious handmade cakes and pastries capture the essence of Greek and Albanian delicateness, creating a feeling of home in every bite.

This thoughtful growth reflects a strong commitment to community well-being and local engagement. It’s inspiring to see a Finchley business thriving through quality, authenticity, and genuine hospitality, contributing positively to the neighbourhood’s social life and...

I was excited when my boyfriend ordered a heart-shaped Black Forest cake for my birthday, as it's one of my favourite desserts. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we had hoped for.

Upon cutting the cake, it was evident that it had been previously frozen. The texture was unusually firm, and there were still icy patches inside, making it difficult to slice and less than enjoyable to eat.

The taste did not reflect the classic Black Forest flavour I cherish.

Given the price and the occasion, I expected a freshly made cake that would enhance the celebration. Instead, this cake felt like an afterthought, lacking the care and quality one would anticipate from a reputable bakery.

I hope this feedback encourages the bakery to reassess their quality control and ensure that future customers receive the fresh, delicious cakes...

I tried it three times, and all three left me with the same impression.

Good variety of desserts, unfortunately incredibly stale every time. Their idea of fresh is to prepare, freeze the deserts and when the stock runs out defrost and leave in a fridge until it's sold. I tried it with a made to order birthday cake, and various deserts with my family.

The staff are also polite at times, but more often rude. Note to the management, please inform your staff to remember that other people speak Albanian and Greek so they can understand what you say behind customers' backs.

By the way the owners are Albanian so I am not sure about the "Greek" authenticity, but that doesn't matter. What matters is the quality of what is on offer and the customer service, unfortunately both absent.

That was my...

Generours portions and beautiful cake design and presentation. Excellent coffee but Barista seemed to be in a bad mood and cot too keen on my request for a cappuccino. Cheese and spinach pasty was a bit rubbery. A slice of cake I bought was extremely sugary. Yes, I know the cake is meant to be sweet but the amount of sugar in this one was overpowering - couldn't taste any other flavour or texture. Could have downed a pack of sugar instead. Tastes more like a cheap supermarket own brand cake, not artisan bakery. Sugar content needs to be reduced by about 30-50%.

Outside there are six small tables. İnside some more tables on the right and then a large counter full of goodies with some flans or pies the first things you see. Behind the counter a man serves customers and chats, behind him are some prices. The bakery has a long narrow shape to it. The door and Window prettily decorated for Christmas a month ahead. The place is busy at 1pm Sunday afternoon. It all has a professional nice look and feel.
