The second I walked into Avobar I had a feeling that we were in for something special — and while the beautifully prepared dishes, along with the clean, fresh ambience, contributed to an enjoyable dining experience, it was the people that truly brought us to life on that Day — and no one stood out quite like Alicia.
She possesses the unique ability to make every single person on the dining floor feel engaged, not merely serve their table; she creates experiences. The manner in which she glides through the dining area is smooth and carefree: always available, always visible, and it appears she anticipates your needs before you even voice them. There is a tranquil self-confidence that sets you at ease, and a level of excitement to be there that is uncommon in the world of hospitality.
In terms of drink pairings and explaining the menu items with great enthusiasm, Alicia embodies the spirit of Avobar to the fullest extent possible. Clearly, she takes a genuine interest in the experience of every guest and exudes warmth, professionalism, and pride in her work, qualities that are rare in the hospitality industry today.
And then, of course, there are the dishes. Each one seemed to represent a culinary celebration of freshness and creativity. The presentation of each item was visually stunning, the flavors were well-balanced, and each item was presented perfectly — bright, fresh, and full of personality. The staff put significant thought into every detail.
However, it was Alicia who took the entire experience to a new level. She created an exceptional flow to the evening — checking in at the most opportune time, suggesting drink pairings that fit perfectly, and ensuring every guest felt welcome individually. When watching her manage the floor, you can clearly see that she is the heart and soul of the establishment.
Avobar is so much more than simply a restaurant – it's a "vibe," and Alicia makes that vibe unforgettable. I departed the restaurant both full and truly impressed with our entire experience. What would have otherwise been an ordinary meal, Alicia transformed into something that was personalized, fun, and memorable.
So, if you do decide to visit Avobar (which I highly recommend) — make sure to...
Read moreI have been coming here regularly since it first opened, and it has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I especially love the smoked salmon on toast – the combination with avocado is just perfect – and the sliced egg on toast is also really good. Since opening, they have made consistent improvements, such as finally adding vanilla syrup for coffee and matcha, which was missing for quite a while. They also have a ginger-based juice, which personally wasn’t to my taste as it felt more like a large ginger shot, but for those who enjoy stronger flavors it’s a nice option. The matcha is also quite good and enjoyable. The interior design, especially the downstairs area, is very stylish and unique, giving the place a modern and creative vibe. On the other hand, the outdoor chairs are a bit uncomfortable, which makes it less ideal if you want to sit outside and enjoy a long breakfast. Although there are occasionally small mistakes in service or orders, it’s understandable and not a big issue, especially since we come here so often. Overall, it’s a lovely place that I would...
Read moreWe bought our drinks and were charged an unsolicited service charge. And then the option to leave an additional tip on the card reader. Were then asked to vacate our table the minute our coffees were drunk. Still drinking water so declined. Then asked again to move to release a table. Declined to move but let them take the table. There was room inside for the 2 people to eat but they wanted to be outside. Not really my problem having paid...
