Where should I start..... Out in Camden and passing by on the trike I said to my wife babe let's go into that place, as she was getting "Hangry" for those that do not know this is the point a person gets annoyed and hungry all at once just after shopping lol.
It was a place we'd past so many times but never managed to have time to actually stop and read the menu board outside, however this time we were going to be stopping.
As we read the menu board a gentleman came from inside we asked are you open he said yes at 5pm it was currently 4:37pm I turned and looked at my wife and said cool well be back, so off we went to find the nearest 'Pret' and a coffee stop was had.
Now sure this sounds all long winded but so necessary just so you know that waiting the 23 minutes until open time was so and I cannot Emphasize this enough, it was so worth the wait!
My wife had the Sea-bass and I opted for the Angus burger we also had the small breads and a selection of the starters, now the food was exemplary a word not used lightly, in-fact every Restaurant should set its standards as high as Azura has, the attention to flavours and presentation and the professional manner in which it was brought to the table this place is next level politeness, not one member of waiting staff let the team down it was a solid delivery throughout the evening.
Now..... Lets talk Shisha I have never in 20 years of being around venues with Shisha have "NEVER" all capitals, have never had a smoother or cleaner smoke ever, and good food and Shisha where available should always go hand in hand.
Im not a food or venue critique, I do however dine out most evenings and this for me was one of those stand out moments one of those places that deserves five stars as a starting point because it really and I mean really stands alone.
Before we sat I went to use the WC facilities to freshen up and wash my hands the cleanliness and high standards of the WC told me that attention to detail was everything here and that this was a special place and as ridiculous as it may sound to some how many times have you dined out and then taken a rest room break and been mortified by the lack of.
This place is classy throughout and really deserves its flowers completely blown away so thank you to the full team for making the evening so enjoyable pleasant and relaxing and for any potential customers reading this, you will not be disappointed, one thing I will say is, we were a walk in booking and was able to be seated, however if I was going again I would most definitely book in advance as this place is for obvious, and all the right reasons very popular and as the doors open the bookings do turn up!
Any downside to the venue? No
However some clever person from TFL have placed a red route directly outside so parking immediately outside the venue is a no no but there as far as I am aware, is parking on the side roads nearby so Boo TFL but five stars and more for this beautifully designed restaurant with it's amazing team!
Parking wasn't an issue for us and no it isn't Batmans bike, you only live once Im a big guy I cannot get in a lambo.
We will be back and to those of you reading this that haven't yet been, Thank me...
Read moreGreat restaurant with nice atmosphere and halal food. The concept here is food twist with greek food with small portion foods. Since we were fasting we ordered quite a bit of food. We ordered for starters tzatziki with burek and included complementary bread with seasoned olive oil. These were nicely flavored and had great textures. Would have liked more bread. For the mains we ordered lamb medallions, lamb chops, beef sliders and new potatoes. Starting with the medallions they were nice and flavourfull but felt there could be more or larger. Lamb chops were again nicely flavored and cooked. The beef sliders were nicely presented with potato fritters however the flavour although ok it lacked debth. Tasted like mince meat in a bun and literally had ketchup on top. Wouldn't expect that for £9. The potatoes however were my favourite with soft buttery flavour and the truffle was excellent addition to them. Overall for the food i expected more considering spending just over £100. This also included 2 drinks we ordered jasmine and ginger nojito & passionate. The jasmine drink was to be honest just syrup in the bottom giving you very sweet flavour but then as you drink thorough you get the other flavours but then becomes sour and bitter. The passionate was surprisingly very nice considering it had cinnamon. Decor is great here with nice and clean environment including bathrooms. To wrap up i would come here for a special occasion such as birthday or couples dinner but not for more people as most of items are very expensive. Considering its location vs central london the Jasmine drink cost £9 same as lamb medallions. The service and staff are amazing here, always willing to help with anything you may need...
Read moreA friend and I came here yesterday excitedly to see what the hype was all about after watching a few reels on Instagram.
Sadly, the anticipation was not what we were expected and therefore I have given it 1 star. As soon as I came in, my friend and I felt rushed to get our orders in. I haven’t even looked at the menu properly and was forced to order a few starters off the menu.
The waiter was no help either and I found him quite rude.
The starters are not that appetising nor worth the money. Especially the Saganaki - it made my tummy feel a bit queasy to say the least and I will not be ordering that again. My friend ordered the pitta bread with hummus and she even felt the hummus wasn’t fresh/strong. It could have possibly been bought from the supermarket and slapped it in a bowl.
We ordered shisha and to our surprise had a display of fruits over it. It was a nice touch but to be honest not worth it in my opinion.
The desserts were mediocre and for the hazelnut chocolate cake for £11 was barbaric. It was literally a mouse hazelnut chocolate cake. The pastry dessert was alright but nothing special.
I ordered the Azurite cocktail and that too was nothing special apart from the gold decorations. It wasn’t strong and the price was extortionate of £16.
The toilets upstairs is shared between men and women, so if you ladies want to take a cute picture in the toilets, beware of men coming in too!
Overall the decor/interior is worth the Instagram post, but the food was very basic.
I don’t think I would be coming back here...
