Kiss - Camden Town — Restaurant in London

I've had a couple of very poor experiences with this bar during the last months. In early March they organized a sort of DJ night and they put Tanya (ex Culture Beat) as the main guest. We went there at the announced starting time, had several drinks, yet Tanya still hadn't appear about 2 and a half hours later so we had to leave. The bill was clearly misleading from the start. Secondly (and worse even) Kiss the Sky advertised an open mic night tonight and they even confirmed it several times with me, only for me and several other artists to arrive there tonight and find the bar completely closed, with no one informing us to stay home. And a couple of other artists said the exact thing happened a couple of weeks ago as well! This is so poor and unprofessional, it's really beyond words. Such a lack of respect for customers and for the people who would make the venue more vibrant. Very dodgy place overall, I will certainly not go...

would rate 0 if i could. staff were rude and didnt seem to want us there, they lied to my friend saying they didnt have cider but was selling it later on in the night. they tried to separate the two guys kissing but had no problem when straight couples were kissing. when the guys got angry and went to the toilets to kiss, they PEEPED into the crack of the door in the single cubicle toilet and saw them kissing and they essentially kicked everyone out. they didnt bat an eye when a straight couple went into the toilet together. the bartender also made a stinkface when the dj mentioned lgbt rights. homophobic, rude, and illegally refusing to provide tap water, gave different reasons throughout the night as to why (wanted to sell me a cup of water for £2!) also were weird about us having a birthday cake??? it was a birthday...

I hate speaking badly about people/venues but it was a total nightmare and pretty stressful. We were asked to be there for 2ish to set up as the event ran between 3-9, but no one arrived until 3:40 so we weren’t able to start until just after 4. I called the owner about 10 times. He answered once and said they were running late. After that I received a couple of texts saying the manager was at the wholesalers. When arrived and he opened up he had to shoot out again to go and buy some beer and returned with a crate of red stripe which they tried to sell warm @ £6 a can so people were leaving and going to other local bars to get a drink.
