I placed an order via phone for collection of fish pepper soup. I was given meat pepper soup. I called the resteraunt about the error they made. The first person I spoke to did not once apologise for their error. She know said she will pass the call on to her manager named Desiree. Desiree proceeded by saying can I come back to collect the fish pepper soup or do I want a refund. I asked for a refund. She know said it will not be a FULL refund - the cheek ! I said why ? She said because I have meat pepper soup. Something I didn’t ask for ??? I further explained in a irate tone that this is unacceptable as this is not my fault. I explained I wanted a full refund as this was an inconvenience for me to drive down and not been given what I ordered. She explained that they do not have any delivery service so they cannot deliver to me I will have to collect the new order. I was definitely not going to do that as it is inconvenient and it’s bloody cold outside.
Desiree lacked any form of empathy. She responded with incompetent responses such as “i don’t know what to do ma’am” and just staying silent on the call when challenged. I complained that I felt the customer service is so poor and below par. Desiree did not improve on the call in fact she became worse. She was quite snappy and was giving short responses. After going back and forth for about 15/20mins. She said she will have to call me back within 30minutes to confirm if I can get a full refund. She called back after 55mins and said my bank details have been passed to the accountant who should credit my account either the same day or in the morning. I hope Enish will fulfil their side of their promise to credit me my FULL deserved refund. Overall the staff in Enish require adequate training in knowing how to deal with irate customers. Saying “I don’t know” and getting angry to an angry customer is just unacceptable !!! This is what brings down us black owned businesses - lack of professionalism !!! We need to learn how to go the extra mile to please our customers !!!! I hope this constructive feedback will be...
Read moreUsually a big Enish fan. Lewisham branch is my go to and I liked Ilford. Been wanting to try Brixton for ages. I won't be back. It missed the mark on pretty much everything.
The only nice thing is the decor and seating, but with the club night lighting and lasers you can't even appreciate it. Music was ridiculously loud. Isn't it a restaurant?! My friend and I ate in silence after almost an hour shouting at each other but unable to hear. We requested music be adjusted slightly, but 'the DJ controls the volume so it's not possible.' Food took ages. Fried rice was bulgur wheat texture, the two snails were bad (not worth £18). My friend's fish didn't taste fresh. The nkwobi tasted good.
Alcoholic Chapman was pink/orange colour and not red. Took one sip, it was basically orange juice. Waitress apologised and said she'd replace it without charge. Second attempt was more fizzy but still orange juice. £27 for a jug of Chapman as it was alcoholic apparently. Nighttime robbery! Use Lewisham's recipe please. Perfect every time! Rang the bell for the bill several times in 10 minutes, no response. No staff around to get their attention. Besides that, staff was nice and polite.
No to Enish Brixton. I'll stick to Lewisham. Here's to hoping the flagship branch gets a much needed makeover to look on par with other branches one day. Wishful...
Read moreWent to Enish on a Monday evening, we were seated promptly and we were asked to wash our hands.
I ordered wheat with Egusi Soup and was taken back when no water bowl accompanied my meal. On asking could I have a bowl to wash my hands the answer I was given by the waitress was it isn't that kind of Nigerian restaurant; I'm sorry but this is baffling to me. Why would I want to walk to the sink which everyone is using and wasn't close to where we were sitting to clean my hands. I was then told it would be good exercise for me to be walking to and from the sink to clean my hands. I am sorry but posh restaurant or not please provide a water bowl for your customers, plus during COVID this is far more hygienic.
The food was nice my friend liked his jellof rice but said the chicken was a little tough, he also asked me what my issue was with the water and I said regardless of where I have dined in a Nigerian restaurant all over the world I've been refused a water bowl and this was the first time I have been refused this right and it is for that reason I will not return. Posh or not stick to the basics, next thing they will say do not eat with your hands as it isn't that kind of...
