Bacchus N4 Wine — Restaurant in London

We went to pay, making it abundantly clear how we wanted to split the bill. My friend was very clear about it but the owner didn't listen and refused to refund and redo the transaction after we pointed out their mistake, as it 'would cost 5p'??? When I objected to his attitude he said for my friend not to bring me again??? OUTRAGEOUS customer service. I offered to pay the extra he still refused. I was a customer service manager for 4 years in a busy retail environment I've not seen the like. Disgusting. Never drink there. (The owners response below is not accurate and my friend described the way the owner treated me as ‘vile from the beginning'. I suspect he’d been drinking all night too - If the owner doesn’t like being harshly spoken to he shouldn’t be rude to start with. I’m willing to concede the owner might have had a bad night when we were there. But we did not have a great evening at Bacchus. We’ve lived in the neighbourhood for some time but rarely have a kid-free night to explore. We made a point of getting a sitter and checking it out. But as much as we wanted to love the place - we found the owner to be quite cold and rude. He seemed a little under the weather so may have not been in the best mood but he was curt, unapologetic and it did ruin our best intentions. We decided to leave early and ended up having a glass across the road at Social 89. It was a markedly different and welcoming experience. DO NOT BOTHER!! My boyfriend and I went for a glass of red as we love red wine. We were not greeted or made to feel at all welcome- an extensive but expensive wine list was thrown in front of us and no help offered. About 10 minutes later I am assuming was the owner came to take our order. We both know a bit about wine - we asked for s recommendation and no advice offered- until asked. No reccomendations- no tasting- for £12 and above for a wine this is really poor service. I described that I enjoyed malbec and was told to be more specific- which felt really rude. There was no joy or enthusiasm to anything there and I doubt this place will stand the test of time with such bad attitude and no value...
