Be At One have fantastic cocktails, I enjoy finding bars which balance out a fun, lively atmosphere with great drinks and this is definitely one of them.
The element that really earns Be At One it's 5 stars are the staff. The staff are fantastic. They will talk and laugh with you whilst serving, feels like a real personal service, they are smiling and enjoy the atmosphere of the bar as much as the visitors. I had a barman come and seek me out in the bar because he accidentally served me a Dark 'n' Stormy instead of a Moscow Mule (for those who are unfamiliar, they are similar cocktails, the former using dark rum and the latter using vodka). He offered to make me a Moscow Mule for free on his mistake, what a nice gesture, I like both cocktails so I wasn't bothered.
Great playlist of music which gets people up and dancing. The only single downside to the bar is it's size, it's very compact, but that can't be helped so still...
Read moreWe love a good be at one night. To be fair fhe drinks were good and strong and we liked it the bartenders were lovely. It is just when you are organising a party there should be no stress and when providing a service there should be clear communication. So when promised via email that you can have food and drinks, and we can either pre order or order on tne day,why would you doubt that? So we only found out on the day this branch doesn't have a kitchen! Luckily he allowed us to bring food in to eat. Same with music when attending the viewing they said you can plug your phone in ans play whatever you want. On the day, they said you had to select that part in the contract, otjereisewe can't play our own music. I mean they could have pointed out that. I feel their staff don't know what is included in...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. My boyfriend and I were enjoying a night out with friends for his birthday, when the bouncer came over to me and my partner and said “we don’t have THAT kind of dancing in here” and told us to stop. There were plenty of other people dancing, it was just me and my partner the bouncer had a problem with. When I challenged the bar manager over the behaviour of his homophobic security staff, he told me he hadn’t seen what happened and disregarded my complaint because I was (understandably) angry. How in the 21st century a central London bar can think it’s acceptable to be so prejudiced against their customers in that way is beyond me, and at the very least the staff member involved should be given some training on diversity to deal with his...
