Big Mummy's Kitchen — Restaurant in London

If you read this review and you still decide to order then clearly you like wasting money or your tastebuds don’t know good thing. I've ordered from this place a few times now and honestly the food is very subpar and was a return customer because it was the only African restaurant in my area that delivered quickly but this is the meal that made me decide this will be my LAST EVER order. The grilled tilapia is flavourless so much so I had to re-season it with suya spice and another sauce I got from another restaurant. The tilapia was horrible. Even thinking about it makes me gag. It was grilled to obliteration that it was so DRY and rubbery. I was dreading eating every bite that I couldn't suffer anymore and just threw the rest away after like 5 bites. The fried yam is ok but fried yam is not difficult to get right tbh. The sauce that it came with was horrible and lacked any sort of flavour profile - just black, oily and spicy 🤮. Please Aunty if you don’t know how to cook stop selling food and go back to the kitchen and re-learn how to flavour your meal. So I fancied some Jellof rice, so I decided to go to Mummys kitchen as it was on the way home, I walked in and I see a young girl watching the tv, I asked where the menu was because it was almost invisible, so she pointed to the front of the counter, I see Jellof rice and jerk chicken was £10, so I thought why not, I placed my order, i then see the girl go to the fridge, she got a container of Jellof rice and she took a tub out which had jerk chicken in it, I asked when was the rice made she said THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, in my head I'm thinking BOOOOOOMBOCLARTTTTTTT, I just said na I'm fine I'll leave it. Avoid!!!! Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting customer service. Food lacks flavour or authenticity. Jollof rice tatse like plain tomato rice with no aroma or spice, salt fish fritters are chewy and dry, curry goat had some flavour but for 7 pounds you end up getting half the container full of potatoes other half with mostly goat fat and a few peice of meat.
