BOXPARK Croydon is a vibrant, urban food court located just a stone’s throw from East Croydon station. Housed in a striking black-and-white shipping container structure, it brings together a diverse mix of global street food vendors under one roof, making it a must-visit spot for food lovers in South London.
The atmosphere is lively and modern, often buzzing with energy, especially during evenings and weekends. There’s a great sense of community here, with long communal tables, open seating, and a central bar that serves a good selection of drinks. Live music events, quiz nights, and sports screenings add to the experience, making it more than just a place to grab a bite.
What truly stands out is the variety of cuisine. Whether you’re craving jerk chicken, Korean fried chicken, gourmet burgers, Greek gyros, vegan dishes, or bubble tea, BOXPARK delivers. Each vendor brings something unique to the table, and the quality of food is consistently high. Highlights include the succulent Caribbean dishes from Mama’s Jerk, the rich flavours at The Argentinian Grill, and the ever-popular Coqfighter for fried chicken fans.
Service is typically quick and friendly, though it can get crowded during peak hours. The seating area is partially covered and heated, which is helpful in colder weather, though it still maintains an open-air feel.
Prices vary, but are generally reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. It’s also worth mentioning that the venue is cashless, so be sure to bring your card or use a mobile payment option.
Overall, BOXPARK Croydon is a fun, casual destination for trying exciting food, catching up with friends, or enjoying an event. It’s a great example of how urban spaces can be reimagined to create something fresh, dynamic,...
Read moreBoxPark Croydon has changed since Covid happened. That was our first visit since! Many of our favorite outlets have closed down and sadly some outlets have not even been replaced. Creating empty spaces.
Also to our surprise we were told we needed to scan our phone to register to enter Boxpark when no event were on… then when we enquiried and asked why we were told it was not compulsory. So we can only assumed they do this to collect data. Nothing about safety was mentioned and since we were told we don’t have to do it, there seems to be no consistency in it.
The pizza from Crust Bros Pizza (38) were divine and are a great choice for kids. Hard to go wrong with pizza. However the size seems to have been reduced.
The burgers from Coqfighter (19) looks great but beware they are full of sauce, too much of it! Their fries are weird too.
Also tried a pie from a Caribbean outlet and it was so spicy one of us nearly chocked on it, despite being use to spicy food.
The children were pleased but us adults struggled with the standard. The music is also way too loud and the TV is nice in the background with Wimbledon match playing these days but hard to follow with the loud music and no TV sounds.
We had to shout at each others to speak I guess that loud music is to encourage drinking/eating and give some vibes to the place but that might take a toll on...
Read moreVery decent and nicely decorated open space for dining, games and hangout. Located right outside East Croydon train station, it's a really nice place to just relax and have some fun.
So we went to the sluggers which is a cage for playing fancy baseball...you must be able to swing a bat as arm muscles required 😅
Loads of screens to watch live matches and games as well. Loads of mini restaurants and bars available.
Apparently the toilet cubicles are very small, I didn't get to use so couldn't confirm but my friend says "though it's clean, it's only ideal for a slim person" 😊
There is also axe throwing and another activity available which I can't remember if the top of my head.
There is a good truck outside the Boxpark that offers vegan option as well.
Loads of booze and people getting really happy 🤦🏽😂
Overall I would recommend, yet to visit the one at Wembley and Shoreditch 👍🏼
PS: Don't expect much with the games bar though a simple 25min round would do if you are a party of 2 or 3...we went for the 50min round which was a bit too much for us, however if you have a larger party like 5+ then perhaps you may want to go for a 50mins course so that everyone can get at least 2 rounds, your first round is always a test case 😁 just...
