i work in hospitality, i have years of kitchen experience and i know far too well how much stick restaurants get from delivery customers. when i tell you my food was so hot, i was incredibly impressed because that is so hard to get right. especially in a cardboard box!? some people can’t get food to stay hot in foil packaging! you don’t know the drivers initially or how they transport the food; you could have worked so hard on it for it to be completely ruined on the journey, and then you get the complaint from the customers. and putting through official complaints is far more serious/detrimental on staff than you’d realise. i felt it’s important to point this out as a big compliment to the staff in the kitchen.
the food tasted so good, comforting and familiar but still really flavourful and what just the cheer up i needed. i added a lot of extras and i got so much of each one packed in and still tons of noodle also. it was hard to wait for it to cool down at times where it was so hot and smelled so good! thank you so much to all the staff who made my first ever order this evening, it’s left a very good impression and i’m counting down the days that i can come to boxpark just for some...
Read moreDelivery review - So so expensive for what it is - £1.40 for a small spring roll, comes in a portion of 2 (no sauce included) almost £10 for a regular portion of food that isn't small but not large - appreciate it is boxpark so money needs to cover their high rents. Ordered a stir fry that was incredibly sweet and not spicy + added several extras (via delivery service), all for additional price (£1+ each), and only one of them was actually included, so out of pocket for those. Disappointing, but I do appreciate they make veggie/vegan options clear.
EDIT - TE responded, citing high fees from delivery companies. I understand this, but having been to the outlet before 'in real life', the price point was still unreasonable. I note they ignored the comment about missing paid-for-extras or the fact I ordered a spicy meal that wasn't actually spicy. It feels like they're advocating for people to not actually use them via delivery services, which...
Read moreNot sure how this restaurant is calling itself Thai as there is nothing Thai about it. More like a Chinese restaurant pretending to be Thai. None of the three dishes I ordered resembled anything I'd associate with authentic Thai dishes especially the Pad Thai. Not to say the food wasn't good, it just isn't great. Needed a lot of modification.
Shame as well presented and the staff are nice.
Appreciate the reply from the restaurant too. I travel to Canada a lot and notice that the Thai food there is not as authentic as in the UK mainly as they can't get all the ingredients. For me personally, I prefer the authentic Thai street food - maybe it's just different in translation. Thanks again for getting in touch and wish...
