I had the most amazing birthday meal at Bao Bao, the interior of the place is beautiful, clean and cozy, I really like the wall-art and decor. the food is delicious, I had the Taiwanese fried chicken, Hakka pork, rice and Beef Bao for my meal, as I wanted to try lots of the items they had; it was very hard to chose because everything looked great. I also has a 'bubbletail' I cant remember the name properly but I believe it was 'queens smile' which had lychee juice, Green tea, vodka and lychee pearls; it was so good! My friend had the Calamari, sweet potato fries and fried chicken Bao; she also had a mango bubbletail, she found her drink slightly too strong with the vodka but the staff were able to add more green tea to her drink to dilute the vodka, she said it was very good. (I had a few of her sweet potato fries, and honestly i'm not too keen on sweet potato but Bao Bao's fries were so tasty!) The staff at Bao Bao are very friendly and always welcome you to the restaurant with a smile,( I usually come here for the bubble-tea.) when they found out it was my birthday they brought out a S'mores Bao with a candle and wished me a happy birthday, I wasn't expecting that surprise and it made my whole night! thank you Bao Bao for the meal, I will...

This is my favourite place for bubble tea. It is located on the outside perimeter of Boxpark Croydon and has a beautiful interior though a limited seating space. You get loads of options for your bubble tea - flavours, range of teas, ice and sugar limits and a good selection of pearls or jellies to go with it. My favourites are lychee, coffee and coconut. The bubble teas come in two sizes and one topping is free with every additional topping an extra 50p. You can also do a half and half with your free topping to taste two pearls or jellies in your drink. If you have the drink when you are eating-in, you get it in a huge glass jug which is impressive. Coming to the food here, they are made fresh, packed with flavor and good portion. The mains are accompanied by a salad and a soup. The bao buns (both the chicken and veg) we tried were yummy and veg curry and Vietnamese chicken curry for mains were well presented and tasted good. Staff are friendly and we would definitely be visiting them more...

5-Star Review for Bao Bao – Boxpark Croydon

I had an amazing experience at Bao Bao in Boxpark Croydon! From the moment I ordered, the service was exceptional. They even gave us complimentary items with our order—I was lucky enough to get a Kiwi & Peach boba bubble tea, which was absolutely delicious!

The food was fantastic, with generous portions that made it easy to share. Everything was well-packaged and arrived super secure, making it perfect for takeaway.

One thing that really stood out was their attentiveness to allergies. I called ahead to let them know about my peanut allergy, and they were incredibly reassuring, ensuring that every precaution would be taken and the kitchen would be notified. It’s rare to find that level of care, and it made the experience even better.

If you’re looking for great food, thoughtful service, and a little extra kindness thrown in, Bao Bao is the place to go. I’ll...

Very nice food and very authentic as well - I have been buying food from them for a couple of years. The reason I’m leaving a 1-star review is: very recently they have decided to replace their plastic straws with paper ones, which simply doesn’t work as it softens and melts and destroys the whole bubble tea experience. I hope they will return to the plastic straws otherwise I won’t order bubble tea from them anymore. If they wanna be environmental friendly, I suggest replacing their plastic food boxes with paper ones instead. Re Bao Bao: Thanks for your reply, I didn’t realise you are subjected to a legal obligation on this matter. I have reverted my 1-star rating to a 5-star to reflect your high quality of food. Regarding the bubble tea, I haven’t got any great idea, but I’m thinking that a potential solution could be a built in plastic straw like Capri-Sun juices, which may bypass the law?
