Went to try the newly introduced buffet lunch for £12.95 For the price and the food you get, I would definitely recommend. The buffet is small but suited me perfectly. I would rather a few well cooked dishes than an overwhelm of mediocre ones. If you are a meet lover, you'll be happy. They had pork, beef and chicken in various dishes on offer. The starters were spring rolls... yummy, chicken wings, red snapper in batter - would have preferred less batter and tom yum soup. This was my favourite dish of the whole buffet. They had phad Thai with Tofu and glass noodles with prawns. Green Thai curry with chicken and a pork and beef dish. They offered plain rice on the side. I tried a little of everything. The pork was a little dry but tasted good the Thai green curry was good. Beef was ok. They had dipping sauces on the side. 1 very spicy and the other a sweet chilli. Forgot the 3rd. I did mention to them that they should include some vegetable only dishes as I thought it was a meat heavy buffet even though I'm not vegetarian myself. I do hope they include this. The meat dishes did have peppers in them but that is less helpful to vegetarians.
Our waiter was attentive, granted it wasn't a busy service, but kudos nonetheless. The buffet itself is self service but drinks and any extras went through the waiter.
So if you're in Bexleyheath I would recommend...
Read moreMy partner just went to pick up food, and without asking anything --- a host pointed at him and told him he had to go outside and go to the back door of the restaurant for the food. Weird, right? In my almost 40 years, I have never been sent to the back door of a restaurant when picking up food for takeaway.
So he walked around to the back alley of the restaurant where even the workers there were confused. When the restaurant finally figured out that he was actually a paying customer, they sent him to walk around to the front of the store. To which the gentleman said "Sorry, you just looked like you were delivery." Are you kidding me?!?! What about him makes him look like he was delivery? He sure didn't say he was delivery or identify himself as such. He definitely doesn't have a shirt that says anything of the sort. ...and instead of asking clarifying questions as common sense would dictate, the host literally pointed to the door almost immediately and made him walk outside to the back of the restaurant.
This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. They should be ashamed of themselves. This was our first time at this establishment and based on how he was treated, I would not recommend this place and encourage you to dine somewhere where they actually treat you like they want...
Read moreFelt quite disappointed, I was really excited when I found out a Thai restaurant has opened in the area. Unfortunately, the food was not really up to standard. The starters - Mussel was cooked in just water, wish there was more spices in it. Spring rolls was average probably from frozen, also had the Thai fish cake which was nice but received the same dipping sauce (sweet and sour sauce) for all the starter we had. Usually fish cake comes with a different kind of dipping sauce. The sweet and sour sauce was like from a bottle but it was watery probably added water to make it a watery texture. Prawn crackers gave a very weird after taste. The pad Thai was probably the worst I’ve eaten, the noodles was not cooked properly it was hard and there wasn’t anything much in the pad Thai. Not a single vegetable in it. Just noodles and chicken. I’ve grown up in Thailand and I’ve been to some nice Thai restaurants in London but unfortunately this one was disappointing, but you might like it so do give it a try. I thought that if the food was pricey, then it should be cooked in high standard too but it wasn’t. On a positive side, the Indian waiter was very friendly...
