Although I've lived in this area for over 20yrs, I've never tried the Rose Pub. There's always been so many others, but nowadays so many pubs have closed that at last I've tried the Rose. And I'm pleased to say on a Friday night it's a friendly welcoming place, event a little boisterous, but all in a safe way as I'm pretty confident that the avg age is probably 50+, yep, it's an old boys fart club for sure. And boy, am I so proud I was eligible for membership, lol. Only kidding. They had a great selection of draught beers with 3 guest beers. I counted at least 4+ largers on tap too. So after some 4 pints, me mate & me decided to call it a night. So, highly recommend, great atmosphere, cracking selection of beers, ales & largers....

Although a lot of regulars crowd the bar, the friendly bar staff delivered a prompt service. Draught beer was in good condition as well. There was a great selection on my visit: Doom Bar, London Pride, Proper Job and Theakstons Grouse Beater. I only stayed for one, and would have liked to have tried them all.
There are a lot of things to look at on the walls, check out the jugs and bottles...

I love visiting pubs where ever I go, I wished I lived local to this one, great range of keg and cask bees, I enjoyed a nice cold Moretti. Served by the landlord Simon. Really good vibe here, will definitely attend if I'm close by again. Well worth a visit if you fancy a nice pint in a good friendly local...
