me and my girlfriend went to this lovely restaurant for the first time, and although my girlfriend didn't really enjoy, I really think I found a hidden gem! She didn't really enjoy just because she's quite peaky, her calzone was slightly undercooked inside, but the staff promptly suggested to make a new one in a few minutes, my girlfriend refused, but then they offered me the coffee.
the starters, carpaccio and vitello tonnato, really tasted as in Italy, it was really good, the pizza was perfect, in my opinion, for London standards, I believe they could have add a few more choice with burrata on the pizza and maybe some pistachio's pesto but still was very good.
The coffee was the part I less enjoyed but I do understand that is definitely harder to get a proper creamy espresso in London, because of the water, the temperature and other factors.
The service was excellent, as coming from my previous experience in 5 stars restaurant I definitely enjoyed the ambience and the service they offered, although we were the only customers seating at a certain point and there were 3 servers, so it's hard to make any kind of mistakes, but I want to believe they would do they're job very well also in more stressful situations.
I am not really a type of person who drops feedbacks, but this time I feel like I really have to, I have plenty of experience in hospitality and I currently work in IT for a chain of restaurants and hotels, so I kinda know how generally chains tends to keep their standards and tend to be less flexible to individual customer needs and taste, but I have to say that this particular Cacciari's restaurant really surprised me.
Therefore the 4 stars!! well done guys!! I did not want to give you 5 stars only because it is slightly pricy, the ambience was really nice but you tent to be a little bit to loud when talking to each other which quite ruins the relaxing atmosphere you tried to achieve with the lightning and music, and in final because of the calzone, that although I know mistakes happens, and you reacted very well to the complain, this shouldn't really happen on your signature calzone, neither should happen during quite times, also the coffee, yes was complimentary, but wasn't really good, but that's not really your fault, that's more on the company.
I hope you keep going on this way, and wish you all a good career in hospitality if that's what you want to do!! I'll definitely come visit you again soon.

Read moreSo today I had the worst Aperol in my life at Cacciari. I usually don’t like to be a pain and inconvenience others hence tried to get through it and not say anything, but I asked my friend to try my drink and even he said it tastes like water. So I have decided to say that I am not very happy with my drink and waiter without a word said he understands and took my my drink away. Brought me another one in few minutes which tasted like a good Aperol and the glass was full to the top. When it came to paying the bill, a charge for two Aperols appear. We ask the waiter politely and he brings the manager. And everything would be fine if the charge for the watery aperol would be taken off, but the manager hits me with “yeah but you had half of the drink”. I felt shamed and well I am still overthinking the situation and wondering whether I was wrong to actually say anything. I will never come back to this restaurant and would not recommend to go there if you have any invisible disabilities. Also, if you dont like the drink, report it at the very beginning. All the waiters were lovely and polite. The watery Aperol has been taken off the bill but I had to experience shaming from the manager like I was trying to rob them for a free drink (while free tap water tasted better than the first drink served), so...
Read moreWe had a group of five that had reservations at La Papppardella on Old Brompton. We had been at our table for 35 minutes, watched customers come in and get a seat, be asked what they wanted to eat, and receive their meal, and we had not even been offered water. We got up to leave and I looked up Italian restaurants in the area. Cacciari’s looked like a great restaurant in a good neighborhood. I called ahead to see if we could get a table and the manager of the restaurant said he had a table for us, but it unfortunately was by the front door. We absolutely did not mind that at all, so we walked over to the restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff, and the manager said he was able to commandeer us a better table in the main part of the restaurant. Our server and wine sommelier were very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us to the wines and meals we wanted..We had such a great experience! Our food was delicious and we enjoyed our wine. Even better was how the manager and our servers made us feel. They made us feel like guests in their home. All five of us work in the travel industry and recommend restaurants to many people. We grabbed business cards to give out. Thank you. Cacciari’s for a fabulous evening and you have us as a...
