Today I took my 9year old niece in here the place looked nice we ordered egg and chips and drink the food came and on my niece egg was a brown thing my niece said auntie it's a dead fly I told her not to be silly and took it off only to find it was a dead insect with wings and legs I call the person over he took it alway it made me fill sick he then gave me a fresh one and I couldn't. Eat it no sorry or anything then a young lad said sorry and said we won't charger you for that meal I paid and walked out I warned a man that had children who orderd eggs first and LAST TIME I will ever go there am reporting this to food standards. I still feel sick now REGARDS TO THE REPLY. THE INSECT WAS ON HER EGG NOT THE SIDE OF THE PLATE AND I WASN'T GIVE THE MEAL FOR FREE AND NO ONE SAID SORRY UNTIL I SPOKE TO A YOUNG LAD THAT WAS...

Been coming for years and always had a good experience. Today however, there appears to be a new ordering system. One person takes the table orders and works the till. Shockingly poor service as a result.

The 2 old dears at the next table ordered 2 coffees at 10:16 and were finally served them at 10:36. If it takes 20 minutes to do 2 coffees, imagine how agitated everyone else ordering food was.

I'll come back once more to see if this was a temporary blip. If not, a shame to see such a great cafe crash and burn.

I suspect I might be eating elsewhere in future. A shame really as the food has always been great here.

UPDATE: Nope, no real improvement after 2 additional visits. Looks like this sort of service is now standard. It's a shame, but I'm sure I'll find another decent place...
