I am Angelie and I am checked in room 103. This is my feedback for tonight:
I had a bad experience with the staff tonight one of them said her name is Steff/Steph and if I want to complain thats her name. I experienced poor communication from your staff, unprofessional behaviour, rude and made me felt I was too much. To the blonde lady on a cream top tonight (staff) sorry that when I initially entered the pub, because you were on a counter stood up and you looked like you werent busy I thought I can approach you immediately. I apologize I did not read the sign to wait before being seated and I admit that was my wrong I have been used to beefeater staff being so approachable on my previous check ins so when your voice was a bit raised and dismissive asking me to go back in that space to wait though theres no other customers waiting I apologized to you but I admit I was taken a back/surprised. To you steph the other staff who was there serving, I misheared you and thought you were asking me to write my phone number on a piece of paper and my name after I had finished eating and after I told you I wanted to pay you just walked away so I just wanted to ask you what is that for , you came back after a few minutes and explained that you need to double check if I had indeed paid for my meal deal I told you I was happy to escort you to hotel reception to confirm but you said you did not have time because you are busy, sorry I misheared you and thought you were asking for my home phone number and when you realized I got it wrong and told me it was my room number you wanted you walked out with an annoyed look on your face which made me felt stupid and confused. I had to go to you and found you on the counter with the staff with blonde hair looking annoyedand it seems you were talking about what halppened. I followed because you just walked out and you have a look on your face that made me felt a certain way (I felt stupid because I misheared you) and you did not said anything though I apologized you just walked out. When I was approaching you Im sorry I had expressed that you both are acting rude which made you steff/Steph hostile towards me telling me without hearing me that if I want to complain your name is Steph/Steff then you walked out again. Lady with the blonde hair had me explained myself to her without you Steff coz you already walked out infront of the counter when there are guest on my back left corner who can see and listen to what I am saying and what you guys were telling me. I said I just wanted apologise to me not hearing you properly but you Steph you made me feel stupid and embarassed walking away without saying anything, looking annoyed. I think that was unprofessional and made me felt I am too much and stupid. I hope you do not treat other customers how you treat me. Please communicate clearly next time and Do not just walk out.    Read moreWe had breakfast here Christmas Eve at 10am it's a family tradition to go for a fry up as we have a party later in the day. The bacon was like shiny cardboard it had obviously been sat around in a food warmer for quite some time. You order per rasher and the kids wouldn't eat it. the sausages were absolutely tiny too I would recommend ordering an extra sausage to normal if you do chamce your arm here. There is only one toaster and it takes ages to toast the bread. The food was warm and we asked for poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly however it just wasn't hot as a breakfast. Other notable complaints are halfway through our breakfast we were told that they were packing everything away and told if we wanted more toast or croissants to go get them. We didn't want more but if we did we would have to have left the food we were eating to go and get it. After about 15 minutes of sitting in the restaurant I asked the waitress if she could change the music as Santa Claus is coming to town was now on about its 5th time being played. The waitress said that the music system was broken they have called head office but no one will come and fix it and if we think it's bad for us imagine having to deal with it for a complete shift. Now I completely agree that does sound a lot worse but if a customer complains they should do everyone a favour and turn it off. It slowly became torture throughout breakfast and I felt like I was stuck in a perpetual loop of madness descending into a hell that could be likened to that which the inmates of Guatanomo Bay are able to relate to. I honestly can't believe that they refused to turn off the music and subjected us as customers to 45 minutes of Santa Claus is coming to town I'm thankful to be honest that it was stuck on that and not Steeleye spans' Gaudette as I may have lost the will to live had that have happened.    Read moreThe person who greeted us was very friendly and showed us to our seats. We took a few moments to look over the menu and then wait for around 20 mins for our waiter to come and take the order. Drinks order was taken first and then food, however when we were ordering food the waiter started taking the menus without taking my order. No Biggie. I wanted the T Bone steak. After the order was placed the waiter returned after 10mins to say that the had no more T Bone steaks and if I would like to see the menu. I then decided to go for the 12oz fillet steak.
It took almost an hour for our drinks to come. He forgot one of the drinks and got another one wrong then came back with the one he forgot and another wrong drinks order at this point I was content it being cider so I settled for it.
Then the food followed. My friend actually ordered the 8oz fillet steak so when we had our food in front of us my friends steak and mine looked identical. I then asked the waiter if the one I got was the 12oz steak and was told that it wasn't and the waiter had put the 8oz steak instead. He spoke in a way to suggest that's what you're getting. There was no offer of getting me what I actually wanted.
Dessert time. Waiter came around with the cutlery, I always wipe my cutlery before using then and it still had food on it.
