Hope Cafe — Restaurant in London

HOPE Cafe, Market Square, Romford, is a retro cafe a bit like the old fashioned National Milk Bars used to be back in the Post WW2 40's, 50's and 60's town and City cafes used to be after WW2. This is a really special cafè. I had a delicious muffin with bacon, avocado and fried egg. Great price. Had no idea all of the proceeds go to homeless charity until I went inside. Really nice welcoming and homely atmosphere inside too. Really impressed with the volunteers especially one guy who was doing so well despite English not being his first language. The food was reasonable (toasted sandwich), but the coffee was awful.

I will carry on using the Hope Cafe because it is a charity and it is run by volunteers. Hopefully, the food and service will improve soon.

There's seating at tables, plus there are sofas and that's a nice idea.
