Cafe N5 — Restaurant in London

Go elsewhere ! Disappointing beyond belief. Asking for a sausage sandwich, the chef cut ONE single sausage into three slices and placed it on white bread when I asked for brown...and had the cheek to charge £2.40 - for a single sausage and two slices of the cheapest white bread. The tea is 'steamed' instead of adding boiling water to a tea bag, ruining the tea and singing your nose hair in the process.

Not one to be put off first time around, I went back a few days later for a set breakfast. All in all the food is of no worse standard than any other similar cafe in the area, but the customer service is rubbish. On my first visit the waitress was uncommunicative, dull and had no manners - I put that down to a bad day; until I visited again days later and found her exactly the same. She literally took my money and put it in the till when I said thankyou, she just turned around and carried on talking to the chef !

My biggest gripe ...The cafe had 4 old ladies and a tradesmen in on my second visit, all having breakfast, yet the TV was blurting out Eastern Euro pop songs from a foreign pop channel, obviously only entertaining the chef and waitress, who were conversing in the same language.

Myself, three of the old ladies and the tradesman were all English speaking. It's a cafe at breakfast time, what about the news and weather? What about a news channel, good morning Britain - or whatever. You are catetering for yourselves and not your Clients by playing a Euro pop channel hosted in a foreign language at 9 am !

No atmosphere, no manners, no news, cheapskate penny pinching. (one sausage on a sausage sandwich!?)

Would I visit again? In short, no. Your customer service and focus are severely lacking. Would I recommend it? .. no, not in a...

I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t give any less. I’m not happy with the food or service me & my friend received when we visited this “establishment” (2.3.20). The old woman who worked behind the counter hardly communicated, slammed plates onto the table and served us half cooked food. When it came to paying she gave us dirty looks, spoke in a very cutting tone & just shoved the money into my hand. Not impressed. Avoid...

The food was slow to come out(25 minutes for breakfast) all the food tasted off. Very salty and peppery I assume to hide the taste of poor food. The toast was soggy, the bubble and squeak was stone cold in the middle and the sausage seemed almost deep fried. I've never had to try so hard to eat a fry up in my life. Also my box had dirt or bird...
