Avoid. Cannot think of a better advice :)

On 11th February:

Dear ‘Manager’, Thanks for taking the time to request further details about my negative review. On the day I left my feedback, I attempted to dine at your Café with another guest. On arrival, there were two members of your team behind the counter. A courteous lady greeted me, and as I asked if there were the chance to be seated she confirmed and suggested to grab a seat ‘anywhere we liked’ as there were plenty of tables available. Shortly after, a colleague came by and asked us to move further back in the restaurant to another table and pointed us towards what it seemed to be a sharing table with benches. We moved with no issues, except that as we attempted to seat where we were suggested, the same guy came through and highlighted that ‘we were only two so there was no need to take such a big table’: this time pointing towards a smaller central table which was in the way for the food pass and some guests who were leaving.

We just wanted to grab a quick coffee and breakfast, and we walked out moving to the Birchwood in Tooting Market which was fully booked as we arrived but managed to seat us and cater a lovely breakfast for me and my guest.

I would have understood the situation if there were any signs of reservation displayed on tables or your staff would have simply offered us the ‘ideal’ seating (based on your standard of service). I believe the most important thing is to make your regular or potential customers, feeling welcomed. I’m sure your managerial experience will turn the experience of future guests into a successful one. For me, your restaurant or café, is not the place to go to relax and brunch, hence my suggestion on Google Maps.

PS. I will publish this email too, so for other to better understand my point of...

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and I love the interior design and although pricey the food is very tasty and I am very fond of their smoothies and freshly squeezed orange juice. However, unfortunately when I went into the restaurant recently with my boyfriend we had to wait over half an hour for our food to arrive. I ordered fries and a drink and he ordered avocado on toast as we had ordered a toast side before, we thought that this would be ok. After ordering, our drinks came rather quickly. When our food arrived we were missing the toast. But we heard the waitress looking confused as she mentioned toast to the cooking staff. I eventually finished my fries and we finished our drinks so we had to order another two and we were still unable to get the waitresses attention. Even though my boyfriend had clearly not touched his food even after id finished mine. We eventually managed to get the waitresses attention and struggled to explain the situation due to a language barrier and managed to get the toast. Which admittedly tasted good but by this time we had spent over an hour in the restaurant rather than the half an hour we had planned into the day. The staff member didn't seem to care that we had waited so long. And had spent more money on new drinks. This had really put us off visiting again which is a disappointment because we genuinely really liked...

We went to cafe ole for some drinks and brunch and a bad experience doesn't really cover it. The staff were friendly enough, but when I ordered a coffee with oat milk and an almond croissant I got dairy milk and a normal croissant. I only had oat milk as a preference but 2 members of our party are allergic to dairy so to get these items wrong should have been a red flag. Then my partner's vegetarian breakfast arrived. He had a mouthful of scrambled egg and ended up chewing on something hard which turned out to be a piece of metal! He ended up swallowing some of it and it scratching his throat. He went up to complain, pretty shocked that he almost choked on said metal and the member of staff was more interested in figuring out what the metal was rather than apologising. The member of staff then offered for him to pay for half of the meal rather than the full amount, but my partner had understandably lost his appetite at this point. We sent the breakfast back and I said to remove the cost of his meal from the bill, being as he couldn't eat it. When we went up to pay one member of our party asked whether we could have anything comped off the bill as this totally ruined our experience. The member of staff didn't so much as apologise and they said there was nothing else they could do. We were very unhappy...

Great for something delicious when you’re in a hurry. Cafe ole has a takeaway menu which includes a selection of wraps, salads and artisan sandwiches where you have a choice of focaccia, panini or ciabatta - all under £5! When you think about the cost of pret for what you get where they squidge the filling forward to make it look more full - this is way better value! Also Cafe ole make everything fresh and then you have the option for toasted if you want. I was in such a rush but soo hungry before my hair appointment I had 10 minutes and all I could see was pret, Costa, Starbucks, Nero or supermarkets! Then I found cafe ole and it was exactly what I was looking for. I like to support independent businesses so went in and they had something for everyone. I’m pescatarian and was torn between the falafel or humous and roasted veg or tuna nicoise or goats cheese. There were also lots of meat options. There’s also an eat in menu which includes breakfast and brunch menus. The cakes looked nice particularly the custard tarts. The ambiance is cheery, casual and rustic and they do water where you can help yourself. The staff were absolutely lovely and seemed very on it with excellent customer service. Would definitely go back.

Tried the corn fritter stack with the home made chilli jam and poached eggs. Eggs were nice, though whites a bit runny inside. The corn fritters are huge stacked on top of each other with avocado on top and in between as well. Unfortunately that leaves you with mostly a stodgy mess. Either way corn fritters you need the contrast of the crispy outside and the softer corn inside - in this case you get this with the edge, but the majority of it is just too mushy. Must have run out of chilli jam, as it looked like runny chilli sauce instead so didn’t stand up to the mushy food as you’re unable to kick up a bit and add to your bite. Photos shows the enormous and too thick corn fritters and then the vast majority of it that was left at the end when you finish with the edges. Shame to waste so much. Convenient that they open nice and early as the other local places are closed until 9am at the weekend. Coffee was delicious.

One of the best breakfast places I've been too! Delicious poached eggs and it wasn't a problem to swap the muffin to a sourdough bread . Quite a large portion and I couldn't finish all of it. Mushrooms with herbs - nice change to greasy fried ones All food is halal but double check with staff as it's not labeled anywhere in the menu or in the shop Range of options including vegetarian and vegan. Have hot and cold drinks including fresh smoothies. Worth coming for their delicious fresh bakes- marble cake, brownies, mini fruit tart, strudel. Welcoming staff, nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend Paid street parking but was eat to find and eat to get to via bus
