I've been wanting to go to this place for months but as they aren't open in the evening I had to wait for a day I could get there for lunch. I'm so pleased I made it there today - the food was absolutely fabulous and the staff really friendly and welcoming. I had the lamb kofte, my husband had a grilled chicken simit. We waited about 30 - 40 mins for food which felt like quite a wait when I was hungry and impatient but then I realised there was only one person in the kitchen, they were quite busy, and everything was freshly cooked. Anyway, it was well worth the wait. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. The lamb was perfectly cooked, there was a big pile of humus and some delicious grilled vegetables and chips. The chicken simit was equally yummy. We will definitely be going there again for lunch when we can, and also I noticed they are open for breakfast so we will be trying that too. Also we don't have kids but I noticed there was a child-friendly area with toys and drawing stuff. Had a chat to the owners who were lovely and obviously put a lot of thought into this business. Thank you for this delicious...
Read moreOverall, disappointing food at silly prices. I have never written a review before so I am not a Karen or a regular complainer but this was too much and the servers weren't very responsive to criticism. Their only suggestion was to reorder but the problem was the quality of the cooking not what we ordered. We are concerned that the reviews here are fake and I don't appreciate being tricked as we came here for the reviews and were let down.
Hummus and bread was over £5 for a relatively small portion. Hummus was grainy and lacked flavour. Was served with two stale bits of pita bread. Sainsburys does better hummus. Having been to several middle eastern countries this was a big disappointment.
Menemen was so oily my partner was sick after. It consisted of a few vegetables barely cooked. Flavourless, and with chunks of cheap feta which cost an extra £2.50 to add, not worth the price or upset stomach at all.
Shakshuka came with two eggs that were beyond overcooked. The other elements were just bland. Very overpriced for the...

I ordered the dangost and freshly squeezed orange juice which both tasted great, a lot of flavour and very fresh. Only reason I can’t give a 5/5 is for the price of the dangost (£13.50) you would expect more meat and a bigger portion. I noticed somebody else pointed out the same thing on a review from a couple months ago and the cafe replied that they’d look into it but unfortunately don’t think anything has changed. Also bought a cappuccino to go which wasn’t great, coffee tasted cheap and very average, as a big coffee lover it was disappointing.
What I noticed that’s a really nice idea is that they have a small corner for babies/toddlers to play, more restaurants and cafes should follow this route of making family friendly spaces as it makes it easier for parents to go out and enjoy themselves as the kid will also have fun. All in all a nice place but room for...
