I visited Chicks on February 15th and was appalled by the lack of basic courtesy and customer care. Upon entering, I politely asked the staff at the till to switch on the heating, as there were young children, including an infant, in the restaurant. The lady at the counter, who spoke Urdu and appeared kind, relayed my request to the manager, who was rude. What followed was unacceptable—the manager rudely dismissed the request, claiming she did not know how to turn on the heating. This excuse is completely absurd. She is present in the restaurant from morning to night (which I have personally observed), yet she does not know how to operate the heating? This is either complete incompetence or a deliberate disregard for customers’ comfort and well-being. It is disgraceful that Chicks forces customers to sit in the cold, refusing to provide basic heating even when young children are present. To save a few pence, they are compromising the health of paying customers, including vulnerable infants. This level of neglect is unacceptable in any establishment. I urge the owner to review this incident. The time of this event was 19:55 on February 15th. I request you to check your security cameras and take immediate action. Such disregard for customer well-being reflects poor management and an utter lack of responsibility.

I had some late night (11.45) chicken and chips from here. The chips were soft but actually had a decent flavour. The hot wings were hotter than you usually get. Needed a swig of red Miranda to appease the heat. The chicken was a tale of two halves. On one hand the skin had a good taste and the chicken not as full of water as some places but it didn’t have a great colour. Slightly grey as opposed to brown. Wondered if that was because it was so late and possibly the last chicken. The other odd thing is that they don’t do a combination meal of chicken and wings. It’s either / or. That’s unusual. Service was polite and fast albeit quite quiet being so late at night. Good seating for pairs or groups. Better than 90% of chicken shops so big tick for that. It’s not my favourite chicken shop in tooting but it certainly wasn’t bad. I might go again earlier to see if the quality changes.

Below is the picture of the pizza and chicken burger. The pizza is far better than all of the chicken. Imagine that’s a chicken burger made fresh and that’s what it looks like 2 seconds into my hand after paying? Absolutely rubbish chicken steak burger. Like at least make an effort, or hire the old stuff and fire this new hopeless guy. Let’s be honest, the fried chicken is really bad, the new guy with the glasses, is so slow or just doesn’t know how to take multiple orders. The chicken is dark brown or over cooked. The pizza is average. You go here because it’s cheap quick food. If you want good fried chicken, go to chick city. But it really has declined, in standards and customer service is slow. The lady at the back is far better at doing a better job. Instead they leave the new guy who takes 15 minutes to understand I want a pizza. It’s behind you.

Went here with my four year old son today as we used to used it quite a lot when we first moved here over a year ago . I ordered a pizza for my four year old and didn't notice until he had eaten half a slice of pizza that there was mould on the bottom of the pizza i also ordered a 5 piece chicken wings meal that at the time and i had bitten into the chicken wing and it wasnt cooked properly . I approached the lady at the counter and said to her that my sons pizza was mouldy and the chicken wings weren't cooked. She had looked at the chicken and asked if I wanted a new meal . I said no. Then she had looked at the pizza and ripped apart the bottom and even more buried into it was further green mold .. which she said the dough was fresh! . I said can hardly be fresh if there is mould . She then took it to the back to show someone and then came out with a excuse that it was to do with the pans maybe not been cleaned probably and there was vegetables stuck into the bottom of the pizza ?? . How insane ! . It was green and spotty and was definitely mould.!!. So I asked for a refund and she was happy to do so as we both could have come away with some sort of food poising. I'm never going here again and wouldn't recommend as people don't seem to value customers anymore and these prices are getting insane to be given undercooked /...
