Initial impression was: wow and 10 stars!
For: Seating area which is airy, spacious and pristine including the flooring which 'shines with pride'.
As part of the service, olives in a herb and carrot mixture are put on your table (not charged). Plus a vase of water (refillable).
So already the ambience is welcoming and warm, not to mention the soft background music for a cosy meal.
What I ordered suited me perfectly as I already know I like a certain type of meal which is a meat dish with rice if it is to be Mediterranean.
I ordered the restaurant's Agayes lamb starter dish with rice, a dessert and Lebanese coffee.
The lamb flathead with some shredded lettuce and pickled turnips and a light sprinkling of hummus/tahini dressing is delicately spiced. The side dish (the restaurant's signature rice) compliments the subtle tastes of the Agayes starter.
An additional 10 stars are for the coffee which is beyond the best freshly ground coffee you can find. No sugar is required!! Which is a first for me!
It compliments the Lebanese cheesecake which is beautifully prepared and you could easily eat another in seconds!!
I had a taste of cake that is not overly sweet and goes well with the coffee I could drink regularly.
Overall 10 stars for the ambience, airy and fresh tasting food and brilliant service!!
The entrance and seating area are wheelchair accessible. Very clean toilet facilities are available and if you have any dietary restrictions, speak to the manager regarding this.

Read moreLove the staff that worked there didn’t get the name of the server but she was nice let us sit down even though we where slightly underdressed and gave treated us with respect the food came quickly and was very filling. The hygiene rating was very high and the atmosphere was great too. You can tell that this restaurant has a strong local reputation to the point where families would bring their children and you will see the elderly chilling out here too.
The but I have a couple of problems I have with the place is that the carbs options was a little small . For me and my friend we ordered the same thing with different carbs options (rice and chips) with a spicy chicken skewers and a side of salad . If I remember correctly it was 16 pounds for each of us .The portion went up by 15% to 20% it would have been worth the price. I was have added some onions to the rice or added some spices as well. The chicken was good to you touched it with a fork and you could see that it was juicy and full of spice mild .
But overall for athletic and healthy food with a good local reputation it gets a 3.85 stars. All because I know I have had better spicier food elsewhere. The mild spice doesn’t hit me well enough but I can see why people would recommend it was not really my thing but I was happy and enjoyed the...
Read moreIt's a very welcoming place. The restaurant has a rating of 5 for food hygiene. We were greeted by a lovely lady with beautiful smile. She served us complimentary olives as soon as we sat down to look at the menu. The restaurant is well kept and even the toilet is clean.
We opted for the main menu: mixed grill platter and lamb shawarma. These were excellent choices and the portions were quite generous. The mix meats on the mixed grill were all expertly grilled, spiced and so tender. The delicious spicy sauce heightened the taste. The shawarma came with either chips or rice. I opted for the latter one but to my surprise it also came with flat bread to soak up the juices. The lamb was tender and juicy. We enjoyed our meal and capped it with mint tea. The tea was freshly made and we were given another complimentary sweet pudding. What a lovely way to end the day! It's highly recommended and we'll go back...
