I recently visited here for the second time, hoping to give them another chance after my first experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be even worse than the last. On my first visit, I ordered the English breakfast, and to my dismay, the sausages and rashers were dry as hell. I thought perhaps it was just a one-off issue, so I decided to return and try something different. This time, I opted for the lasagne, thinking it would be a safe bet. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. When I cut into the lasagne, I was shocked to discover that it had absolutely NO meat whatsoever. I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like I was slicing through a mountain of pasta layers with nothing inside. I could probably count the bits of mince on one hand, and even that might be generous! As I continued to cut into it, I found myself questioning why I was even bothering. The taste was just as bad as the texture—bland and unappetizing. I genuinely don’t know why I didn’t mention my dissatisfaction right away. By the time I finished, I felt frustrated and regretted my decision to order the lasagne. At the end of my meal, I decided to bring it up with the staff, hoping they would at least acknowledge my concerns. The guy I spoke to looked lost. I couldn’t help but laugh despite my disappointment. I honestly can’t believe I paid for that meal. Overall, my experiences here have been incredibly underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend the lasagne to anyone, and I’m not sure I’ll be returning again. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I visited this place this morning and had a very disappointing experience. From arrival to departure, the waiter(who also appears to have a role in the kitchen) spent the entire time on a phone call, with zero customer service or attentiveness to customers. I ordered Eggs on Toast with Salmon, but the dish arrived with the egg missing. When I attempted to notify him, his response was abrupt and dismissive: “yes, yes, I will bring it later.” After a considerable delay, the egg was delivered, but only after I had nearly finished my meal. Throughout the experience, the server prioritised his phone over customer service. In addition, the dish itself was not cooked properly. Given the lack of attentiveness, poor communication, and quality issues, I will not return.

Cafe ole is an amazing brunch place and it is always nice to walk o to the fresh smell. The atmosphere is very calming and hwarm and the staff are very friendly. I got the club wrap and a berry go round smoothie. The smoothie is my go to and never disappoints. If you don't like bits then that's not for you. The club wrap was nice but personally i there was a bit to much of tge white saxr in the wrap but other thatn that is was delicious. The fries were also piping hot and fresh. They have a range of burgers, wraps, smoothies and many more. My cousin had wings and fries which i unfortunately could bot taste. Overall, Cafe ole is a nice tourist attraction and I 100% reccomend.

Worst food I ate in the UK on this visit. Over cooked food and covered in oil. Felt a bit sick and couldn't finish my food.

Update (reply to owner) : I have written over one hundred reviews all over the world and try to be fair whenever I write. One star may seem extreme but sadly I found the food very displeasing. Not the worst food in the UK but certainly my worst meal during my one week stay. I will explain further to attempt to give more constructive criticism.

It was a busy morning 18/07/19. We waited at least 40 minutes for our food to be cooked and had paid in advance. I didn't have time to complain directly to your staff about it because we were already late. Whether the busy time was the reason for the food quality I don't know but we were very disappointed anyway. It would have helped if your staff had made us aware that there would be a long wait.

Personally I ordered the vegetarian breakfast. It seemed to me like the vegetarian sausages were deep fried vegetables, which I didn't enjoy. Usually vegetarian sausage means something more dense like soya, seitan or tofu. Something with a reasonable ratio of protein to fat content. The egg and hashbrown I had were cooked in too much oil. The fried egg was overcooked with the sides being crispy and burnt. My partner had the non-vegetarian version of my meal and was equally dissatisfied with it.

The toast and beans you served were fine. As was the coffee. However due to the rest of the meal this wasn't really a consolation.

I am a very health conscious person. While I didn't imagine that ordering this meal would be clean and healthy, I didn't expect the fat content of the meals to be so high. I have eaten vegetarian english breakfasts in the past and haven't encountered one with such a high fat content as yours. I use the word fat content loosely. I could certainly see too much oil was used in the cooking of the meal and the vegetable sausages appearing to be deep fried didn't help either.

Perhaps our experience was an unfortunate coincidence, however it doesn't change our dissatisfaction. If you can take anything from this review, it would be to use less oil, pay attention to prevent overcooking and change the vegetarian sausages you're using. If you do that, your food will be far better for...
