"Update to original review - visited again hoping for improvement, but the service has actually gotten worse. Four staff members working behind the counter, yet somehow they couldn't manage to take complete orders properly. They seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than actually serving customers or engaging professionally. There was an almost deliberate unwillingness to show basic manners or treat customers with respect. When you have four people on staff and still can't provide decent service, that's a serious management problem. The food has also declined - very generic and average quality, nothing special at all. With this many staff members, there's absolutely no excuse for poor service or inattentive behavior. When employees are more focused on socializing than doing their jobs, it creates a frustrating experience for paying customers. Definitely avoid this place - there are much better options available where staff actually care about providing good service and the food quality matches the prices."

I typically wear a mask in public still (one of the few people who do it) to protect others from COVID - I am all vaccinated and boosted, and also got COVID a few months ago so my immunity against COVID is pretty strong. I really wear it to prevent myself from giving it to others if I have it but just don’t show symptoms. I did not appreciate that one of the staff said when he saw me with a mask “why are you wearing a mask” repeatedly about 3-4 times in a taunting voice. It wasn’t a question out of curiosity but instead a taunting and condescending remark. This strikes me as the staff / employee having very little respect for other humans and providing customer with horrible service. Update 2: after refurbishment the place got a new vibe and is absolutely great all around.

Update: now that kids' play area is at the rear, it's cold and crammed there, and parents can't see their kids. Besides, it is right next to the garden door, so kids can smell how adults are smoking outside every time the door opens. Toys are very old, broken and dirty. Still a good place, but moving play area was a bad choice.

This place is absolutely must go for all parents for it has a small play area where the little ones can mingle with their ilk and play with numerous toys - giving mummy and daddy those precious 10, 15, 20 minutes (more like 30 seconds in our case though) of uninterrupted coffee and sandwich.
