I don’t really know where to start. Firstly menu online and menu at the restaurant are not matching. Not the food not the prices. Be careful when order foie grouse as this is cold starter, we did expect this to be pan fried. We did order 3 starters, one of them arrived wrong, we have been served cheese panna cotta instead of onion soup. Waiters said please keep the ‘panna cotta as is our mistake and we are going to send you soup shortly’, only to come back two minutes later and take away the panna cotta stating that this is for another table. Well, you should not tell me to keep it at first and than take it back tapping me on my back like I’m your friend. The wine was just horrible and poor quality, I would be better off with cheapest one from Tesco. Finally we’ve got our mains, halibut served with risotto, clearly someone there has got no idea what risotto should look like. I had grouse with meat itself was ok but I would not even mention creamy leeks that I could not even swallow. All come up to 163£ with in my opinion is very well overpriced for the quality of food you get, for this much money you can have decent meal cooked by someone who has got idea how French food should taste like. We did end up there as this restaurant has got 4.5 stars here at google, if you have bit of knowledge about the food and eating out often please avoid as you’d be well disappointed.

Great food but it would be helpful if prices matched those on the website. We had a great meal. But before I start, be careful when you look at website - the menu is very old, even the waiter said the same. So the exactly the same dishes on the website are about £4 more expensive, including the starters and desserts. A meal for two, two starters, two mains, and house wine set us back £84 not the £60ish we expected before booking. The wine list is also out of date, house wine £6 more etc. That said, the food is great, I had the prawns melt in the mouth and pork a little overdone but that's picky. Other half had Onion Soup then Vegetarian main both great she said. The staff work hard, friendly place. We skipped deserts as the meal was getting up to glasshouse prices and we weren't planning for that. The cote de boeuf on the next table looked amazing (if you like it rare). I'll have that next time we splash out. All in all, good food, nice atmosphere just a bit more transparency on the website would be appreciated. So for that reason alone, I'm dropping a star off.

We traveled to Kew Garden and tried this restaurant. We ordered from the lunch course menu. The food tasted good. The service was horrible. 1) The final bills were wrong, if we didn’t check, would ended up paying £8.5 for things we never ordered. 2) The small plate for bread looked like a saucer. 3) The staff came to clean the plates of starter while I didn’t finish the food. I made this situation clear but the staff insisted that I could put the remaining food in the ‘saucer-like’ plate, for him to continue taking my stater plate. Based on the whole experience, we rejected to pay for the service charge. Also, FYI for the dog owners, the restaurant is not dog friendly.

We have been going to Ma Cuisine for 15 years and it has always been one of our favourite restaurants. We went on Friday 25th September and it was not a pleasant experience. We had booked for 5, turned up as 4 (as one guest cried off at the last minute) at 2030 (they now have 2 sittings 1830 and 2030, which was the first time we had booked this way at Ma Cuisine) and were told we didn't have a booking! This despite the fact that I had been in there personally 2 days before to reconfirm. The waiter then said we could have a table anyway but it turned out he only had the early evening booking sheet. He was very disorganised and sadly this continued throughout the evening.

Ma Cuisine has always had excellent service with smiling waiters and waitresses. Now, it is a bunch of frankly surly, aggressive men who didn't smile once at us or anyone else that I could see. We waited 20 minutes before someone came to take our order, the restaurant was extremely hot and the noisiest I have ever known it - not helped by waiters and staff shouting across the room at one another the whole time. I do not know whether they have tried to fit in more tables? However, they have opened an annexe next door and with 2 sittings, are clearly out to maximise revenues.

The food was very good, as always, so at least that hasn't changed but what used to be a great ambience and eating experience has now changed into a hot, noisy aggressive and cramped experience and one that we won't be looking to repeat any time soon. A great shame as it was so consistently good for so long, but now they seem to have forsaken the great customer experience in...

Food: average Atmosphere: cosy Hygiene: not clean Attitude: low class Service: below average Price: cheap but overpriced for the quality

PS: The restaurant claimed this to be a fake review: this review was written after a dining on the 23rd of Dec 2022 invited there through a friend (dining of 4 people for dinner) Specifically: The service specially wine-pouring was way below acceptable. The lady waitress poured wine dripping all over the table and on one of us. This happened every time she was pouring and asked her not to pour any more. Forks and knives were not cleaned properly (remnants of food was on them, asked to change them) The steak was wrongly cooked (asked for a medium-rare and a well done came), was sent back to the kitchen and a new steak was prepared (cooked properly and was good) Dessert menu was not given to every person, when asked for the missing, the waitress said "try to share the menu". Decided not to have dessert and go to another restaurant (which was by far a better experience) In general, food taste and quality is average (good steak, below average chicken, didn't try dessert). The service quality however shadows the overall experience by far. The aim of this review is not to lower the team moral and affect the business. Why should someone write a fake review? I believe the restaurant can go through the details mentioned here, hire someone who doesn't work like they are hating the customers and try to enhance their service quality. This will definitely affect the business in a positive way. Hope this...
