Caffè Nero — Restaurant in London

Not so friendly dealing with families 😕 Even though it's a local establishment, staff are high on caffeine and pushy. You could understand if they were in the square mile, but Streatham!?!?

My daughter (8) wanted a frappe latte, lady barista asks "it has two shots so is strong, are you sure?" I asked, "do you do a single shot?" Lady shrugs her shoulders and hands and turns around to carry on playing with espresso machine while her colleague continues finishing the beverage. Down right rude!

Earlier with the rest of the family, kept asking in a frustrated manner whether we were done ordering, so she could serve other customers. Ahh yes, not a line of 20 customers behind us but 1 individual.

We also had to clean our own table, staff seems too busy but doing what? Oh playing with the espresso machine!

Shall not be returning...

First impression is good, neat and clean place. Really cool and welcoming atmosphere with light jazz and a coffee. Been here plenty of times so its time to leave a review. They managed seating area good to provide all what they need from quiet, window to sophisticate seating. Excellent customer service though. The girls are giving really good customer service. Quick with smile and calm approach what really customer looking for these days. Forgot to scan my stamp and one of a girl help me to sort it out in really easy way. I got a large latte and happy with the taste of the coffee. Even feeling cosy because freezing outside. I like the fact that the layout is ideal for catch ups with friends, relaxing on your own on one of their comfy settees/chairs or at the back on your laptop. I’ve always found the staff pleasant and the coffee and pastries nice. The down side is the staff do need to keep on top of the overall cleaning of the shop, removing the used cups and trays and definitely the toilet. Also the past couple of times I’ve been there and ordered pastries I’ve found myself battling to keep the little flies off of it! This is incredibly off putting and I have seen other reviews stating the same thing, take note or lose customers! Especially with the being so many places to go for coffee in...
