I have been coming to this Cafe Nero on floor 5 (Departures) for about 10 or more years, almost exclusively on my motorbike. I used to meet a friend (also a biker) here halfway from where we both lived and he passed away in 2019.
I came here again on 22/2/2023 at 20:00, just for a coffee and to warm up on the way home from work as it was on the way, and also to remember him.
The staff members were dismissive, not polite or friendly and told me that the seating area with the runway view was closed from 19:00 (fair enough, I was just hoping to sit with a view like I used to do with my friend when he was alive).

It’s a joke - unlike the other outposts it seems like staff here takes their time doing one order at a time from order to completion and doesn’t even go down the line to try to make more than one coffee at once. It certainly doesn’t make sense when this is an airport where people are coming in after long flights and desperate for a real coffee fast. Staff rapidly need training in the...
Read moreAwful. The staff don’t speak a word of English, ALWAYS get my order wrong and the coffee is always cold. They cannot understand English and I struggle to get a correct order from the staff working there. They are very blunt and direct no please or thank you they refuse to take any loyalty stamp with Caffè Nero, if you use any promotional coffee voucher, this is not correct and every other Caffè Nero I have been to across the UK will accept a loyalty stamp. They are stubborn and are doing this to be spiteful. I would not recommend this Caffè Nero. The worst Caffè Nero I have...
