My friend and I ordered a jumbo £12+Spanish omelette £7+ tea £1.5, as you can see in the picture - we had two teas (one is free that come with the jumbo). This will be £20.5 in total, but they charged me £23.5 (receipt) which is £3 extra! (I didn't notice at that time.) I might be go back again and arguing for this!!! What a terrible restaurant! If you are thinking about going, pay extra attention to your BILLS, otherwise they will charge you for extra in a way that you don't notice!

RUDE! RACISM!

03/04/2024 updated The reason I indicated that it was RACISM is because we are Asian, and the waitress came to us at least three times to put away our dishes. We told her we have not finished yet and she walked away with rudeness. At the end at around 10.30am, she told us the table we have is reserved and forced us to leave by 11am. (At the time we were in the phone call so that there is a witness) The thing you might not know is we stayed there untill 11.30 and there were NO customers taking that table at all. You guys did not even ask other customers to leave out by a certain time, or you can ask us to move to other tables if you really need that table for a reservation anyway. What a ridiculous experience we had in London!

Plus: I am pretty sure that Spanish omelette was £7 as I took a picture of your...

have heard the main Chef here, the owners son passed away suddenly a few weeks ago, many many condolences to the family.. I want yesterday, Saturday lunchtime, the place was almost empty, which was a big surprise, a few more came in as we ate. We didn't have the breakfasts opting for a chefs salad, carbonara and a chicken escallop with spaghetti bolognaise. The food arrived quickly, and looked great, However the pasta was microwaved and way too hot. The salad was full of tuna, boiled egg, avocado and leaves etc, but it had a tasteless salad sauce which was minimal. Unfortunately, the pasta and accompanying sauces on both dishes had absolutely no seasoning, The pasta clearly was not originally cooked in unsalted water. I hate to say it but the food was too bland, we had to season it at the table four times.. I hope this lovely little place comes back, it is so easy to season, even the salad.. it costs nothing...but on yesterday I would not return..It is very...

Friendly and accommodating staff. Unbeatable prices for good portion sizes and quality food. Freakin' awesome Italian fresh pasta dishes you can order as early as they open. This time I ordered a spaghetti puttanesca and it came in minutes - a dish hard to find in London as it's not particularly popular - but I wanted the noodles to never end. The decor feels like you've gone back in time. Lots of posters and things up which adds charm. A very genuine space that makes it warm and enjoyable. I will be back to work my way through all the...

The folks at Alpino Cafe (the original spot, across the way, unfortunately having to close) make some of the best full english breakfast in London, at a VERY reasonable price (£10 for 2 toast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 rashers, 2 black pudding, beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes PLUS a tea/coffee to me, with no service charge, is quite frankly, a steal). They are a family business having operated I believe for 60+ years, are always friendly/welcoming/efficient, and you should go support them, a local family establishment, for quality, delicious food!
