I am not going to give any star for this store because I would not recommend anybody to go to this sports direct store. I had to take back a pair of trainers because a hole appeared in the right trainer. The way I was treated by the manager was disgusting he refused right away to even to listen to my side of the argument. After telling him that this was a fault with the trainers all he kept saying was he has never see a trainer go like this. And he basically said it’s my fault & am not getting any money back or a credit note. Then when I told him the trainers was not even two months old & showed him the receipt he then decided that because of the 28 day policy that is on the receipt he can’t give me any money or credit note. Only one problem with this the 28 days policy does not have anything to do with the consumer rights act 2015 under the faulty goods act I think this manager needs to go back and do some management training asap. Very rude man indeed. I then left the store and got my money back from sports direct on line by Twitter account. After a long time speaking to them and fighting my case because they did not want to refund me as well so I then had to contact my solicitor who told me to tell them I will take legal action against them if I don’t get offered my money back or a credit note. Then about 4 hours later sports direct offered me a full refund and sent me a E voucher for the trainers. The next day I went down to Holloway Road sports direct and got myself a new pair of Nike trainers and the staff at this store was fantastic very helpful what a shame the sports direct store at angel Islington are not like this. I will never buy anything from angel Islington...
Read moreI went into this store, purchased some t shirts and shorts for around £99. One of the deals was £30 for 2 pairs of Adidas shorts, so I purchased 4 pairs for £60 (or so I thought). I paid for my shopping and was leaving the store when the alarms went off. I was stopped by security, who grabbed my bag and started digging through my shopping, the 4 pairs of adidas shorts and 1 pair of Slazenger shorts still had the tags on, so he took them and my receipt back to the counter whilst me and my very embarrassed partner waited at the doors. after a short while a girl (she served us) returned and placed the shorts back in my bag. When I got home I was shocked to find that 1 pair of black Adidas shorts were missing! I repeatedly tried calling the store, but nobody would answer, so off we went back to the store (which isn't local) to get my missing shorts, which they accused me of forgetting behind the counter (I quickly reminded them that they left the tags on and they removed the shorts), but were now missing!!! Apparently the manager will "help me out", the next time I shop in there. Not that I'll be going...
Read moreTerrible service at this store. Bought Nike Juniper Trail 2 for £65.00 (not exactly cheap). Shoes immediately developed loud creaking from both soles (not from contact with surface) which made them unwearable. Took to store, they refused to refund. Wrote to customer service (with evidence) and they also refused to help. Again, took shoes back to store (wearing them) to demonstrate creaking. Manager hugely unhelpful, stating they wouldn't refund/exchange and why don't I try another store(?!) This isn't service in any regards, let alone talking to another human with any kind of empathy towards their situation. This is clearly a faulty product and not fit for purpose. My consumer rights have been denied. I shall seek advice from...
