Chelsea Crêperie — Restaurant in London

Very rubbery/ hard to chew crepes. The sever scam you by not disclosing the bill that they have already charged you ‘optional’ service charge and only provide the bill upon demand once you have paid what they told you verbally what the total was . You unknowingly pay the total (£21.68 for 2) When looking at the receipt and challenged why they charged the amount ? It included ‘ optional’12.5% without disclosing, informing or taking my consent?, there were different excuses from the 2 guys saying because it’s a large portion of crepe then the one that would fit in take away box bla bla. To pretending they don’t know what you are challenging.? Only when I insisted that by law they have to provide a bill or breakdown of the bill before asking to simply tap to pay. Finally he pretended it’s mandatory to pay as if we don’t know the law of the land. They are speaking Arabic to each other and telling what other excuse to use to retain the service charge. Finally one of them asked the other in Arabic so are you going to have to refund ? and the other one node as I stood the my ground.

Main important issue was the chewy rubbery crepe and they don’t use any gloves to prepare / make / putting strawberries on the crepe. or even when serving. ...

What a Sunday lunch in this lovely place.. The staff is very friendly and nice. The crepes and galettes were amazing Unfortunately we were disturbed by an incident between the staff and one of their customer.. this so called gentleman put his feet up on a chair what was blocking the way between the counter area and the sitting area.. after one of the staff (a lady) went there and were super nice and apologetic and asked to don't use the chair for the feet the gentleman called her rude and when she went back behind the counter and this man put his feet back again and after another staff got there asking again as he is really disrespecting the staff with this behaviour.. the gentleman called them rude and discriminating them just because they are not British and they should learn English first and threatening them that he will speak with the owner I hope everything was okey after we left and that the owner will take a good care of the staff and not letting these people to treat them like this.. I always choose my hotel or apartment close to this creperie, because it is so so good! The tea is great and a big pot, the smoothies fresh and delicious. I tried every sweet crepe, they are all so so tasty! I especially like the one with the caramelized apples. The savory crepes are great as well, not so many vegetarian options. All the people I took there, who eats meat, loved the full breakfast crepe. I liked the one with goat cheese. Only downside is that they make the crepes in the same room with you. Either you smell like crepes the whole day or the keep the doors open and it gets cold in the spring or winter. But it's absolutely worth it!
