Hollywood Arms — Restaurant in London

Terrible service!! We had our daughter and son joint birthday party at their venue upstairs and we had paid for our entertainer. They have told us that they will Provide their sound system ( speaker/cable ) for our entertainer. when the entertainer needed the general managers ( his name was Giovanni) help to set up her sound system he was ignorant, very rude and unhelpful. When I asked him to help with the entertainer with their sound system he said I’ll be with you and instead he went out to have his smoke break. Our entertainer had come 45 min befor the party started and we couldn’t get the general manager’s help. As I said he was very ignorant and unpolite. Our party started without having the speaker set up as the general manager of Hollywood arms was just not assisting. Just 10 min before the party started one of our kind friend who has notice the ignorance of the staff there had gone to a shop around the corner and bought a cable for the entertainer to see if it’s the cable problem. In the end we found out it was Hollywood Arms’s speaker which was not working and the general manager had told our entertainer that he can not even find their cable so even though we had paid fortune for our entertainer for disco party the entertainer could not provide her service if she was not just brilliant and expert our party would have been ruined. she had to do something else to entertain the kids without her sound system she had to shout and I felt sorry for her and the amount of money that we just spent for this awful service at Hollywood Arms.

The staff were very unhelpful and rude with terrible attitude! They told me they have kids party every week and they knew what they are doing but at the end I had to serve the juices and water to the kids for their lunch as they have not even brought the bottle of water and juices to the table. Bearing in mind that I also had to pay 12.5 % service charge as well. Absolutely ridiculous. Not recommended to anyone at...

A rather poor experience. The place was busy as expected because England were playing in the rugby quarter finals. We turned up a little early and told the girl behind the bar and she just said ok stand over there. Which is what we done, we got ignored by most of the staff all who looked at us I think they thought we were there watching the rugby rather than waiting where we were told to wait. We waited and waited and got ignored and ignored whilst we also listened to the member of staff with blonde highlights telling the female member of staff how much he fancied her. When it got 1 minute before our booking reservation we said we have a table booked for half past and he looked at us shocked and said “what’s your name , you should have said!?” I’m not sure he realised he’d been ignoring us for 20 minutes despite us standing in the place we were told to stand. Once we eventually got sat down despite it being pretty much empty we got put right next to another couple. We ordered a roast, can’t complain it wasn’t anything special. It was hot though , the couple next to us who ordered before us had to send there’s back for being cold. Another couple walked in and they got put right next to us so despite being the only 6 people in there we were all crammed together in an empty room which didn’t make much sense. We then was asked for a desert menu which we said we’d look at and then ordered two sticky toffee puddings. After waiting roughly 25 minutes there was no sign of them and we had somewhere to go. So we said we don’t want them anymore we’d just pay for the meals. Overall a poor experience not sure if this was because it was busy with punters watching the rugby but this shouldn’t have affected the kitchen as where we were eating was pretty much empty. We decided to have our wedding lunch at the Hollywood Arms on a Friday afternoon and we are so glad we did! We settled on this venue only over a month before the date and we weren’t expecting that it would go this smooth. From the first moment, Quentin was very attentive to our needs, replied fast to our endless emails and literally said YES to everything we asked for. While visiting the pub to go over the things and see the venue, he even offered us wine tasting to help us decide on the important things that make a great party! Hollywood Arms has a beautiful, high celling and very classic venue on the second floor. Private Bar, high bar tables, floor to ceiling windows, air conditioning (although one of them was leaking a bit), classic chandlers, music system and a screen to display photos- everything we could have asked for! We offered our guests the 3-course meal which were yummy! The canapes went amazingly with the super delicious cocktails they prepared on request. We are foody people and we were very happy! Andrii and Oleh (the team) were super great and with big smiles were happy to help with anything which made us feel very welcome and chilled.
