Chicken Kitchen Acton — Restaurant in London

I might have been unlucky 😔; I'm not entirely sure. Usually, I visit Amigos, which is just a few doors down from Chicken Kitchen. However, today, I decided to give Chicken Kitchen a try for the first time. I ordered a BBQ chicken burger, but unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry, and the taste was far from enjoyable. I wasn't aware that the bun would be in a donut style, but I admit that I didn't take the time to check the menu properly, so I won't complain about the buns, as that was my oversight. Since it was my first visit, I didn't want to take any risks, and I wasn't very hungry, so I only tried one burger. It turned out to be a disappointment, and I don't think I'll be returning there anytime soon. On a positive note, the staff was really lovely. Ordered Jerk Chicken, dumpling burger, rice and peas and spicy fries. Good quality, generous portions and tasted great. The entire meal was only £15. Everything tasted fab and the dumpling burger had me full for hours.

I’ve read plenty of comments about the restaurant not being value for money and find that ridiculous. This may be due to people comparing this to a regular fried chicken and chip shop. It’s definitely not that and the cuisine and quality of items is far superior. In regards to customer service not great but you don’t expect it to be and to be totally honest comparing it to a Caribbean takeaway in say Harlesden it’s five star 😂 for those that complain try taking a trip to Harlesden...

I was very much looking forward to this. Jerk Chicken and a dumpling bun. Sounds brilliant. But before my food verdict I must give a staff verdict. The lady at the till. Over stressed, but clearly a hard worker, doing your best. You have the skills and drive to be a great manager to any place you work. Always enjoy your job. Unfortunately you are not appreciated here. The food: overcooked, disappointing. You have a recipe that should be perfect.
