When we visited London for a few days we went past this lovely pub on the way to our hotel and said to yourselves: We WILL visit this place later :D So we did. The drinks are very good and tasty with a very wide range of different beers, cocktails and other stuff. Also the food menue is big enough that you will find something you will enjoy. The prices are good and "cheap" if you compare them with other places closer to central London and most fast food places - I mean you get a very good Burger with chips, onion rings AND a drink for the same price as a McD burger menue - but made waaaay better and you're full after eating it :D There are 2 downsides though: because it is always pretty busy the tables mostly won't be wiped down when you sit your butt on the bench. and the chef is very enthusiastic with his grill - some meats come out a tad dry (except the sausages - veeery tasty * - *)

Als wir London für ein paar Tage besucht haben, sind wir auf dem Weg zu unserem Hotel an diesem Pub vorbei gekommen und haben uns gesagt: Jap, da gehen wir später hin. Was wir auch getan haben. Die Getränke sind lecker und sie haben eine wirklich große Auswahl an Bieren, Cocktails und sämtlichem anderen. Die Speisekarte ist genau die richtige Größe, dass man garantiert etwas finden wird, das einem schmeckt. Im Vergleich zu anderen "Restaurants", die etwas mehr zentral in London liegen, und einigen Fast Food-Ketten sind die Preise hier gut und sogar günstig. Ich meine, hier bekommt man einen gut gemachten Burger mit Pommes, Zwiebelringen und einem Getränk zum gleichen Preis wie ein McMenü - aber das Essen ist um einiges besser und man ist danach satt. Es gibt nur 2 Minuspunkte: da der Laden oftmals voll ist, werden die Tische nicht immer vor dem nächsten Gast nochmal abgewischt und meistens stehen noch die Gläser und Teller von den Vorgängern drauf. Horrible customer service. Went there for lunch today, we ordered from the food menu which has soft drinks included; and they refused to provide them, because we had not stated what we wanted at the time we placed our ordered. When confronted them that nobody asked us what drink we would like, they mentioned it is their POLICY to NOT ASK the customers if they want the drink that is included in their food menu, otherwise they automatically assume you do not want one. Which is absurd!! When was the last time anyone went for a drink without the person at the taking the oder not asking if they want a drink, let alone ask them what drink would they like if that was part of the meal deal!!! They refused to add it to our or order as they said they could not amend it after we had paid for it. However when the manager stepped in, she did eventually add our drinks to our order. Our table was dirty and when we asked the waitress to clean it for us, she said she couldn't!!!!!! She was busy serving, so we had to clean it ourselves. My kids didn't finish their food, and I asked about 3 different people for a take away box and was told to wait until they finished with the customer they were dealing, but then jumped to the next customer. I was asking the waitor who was going in and out of the kitchen to get me a take away box but was completely ignored. It was only after complaining to the manager AGAIN that we eventually got our box, I am not exaggerating, nearly 30 minutes after the first time we asked for one. This is by FAR THE WORST, customer service experience I have EVER witnessed. Never going back. It may be cheap, but it is not worth the time nor the effort. What should have been a nice lunch with my family ended in stress and disappointment. AVOID !!!!!!!...

I was staying in Acton a few years ago and we decided to try here for lunch. Without a doubt the worst Weatherspoon's I have ever visited. The staff were extremely rude and for some reason the lady serving didn't understand why my friend didn't want bacon in a vegetarian burger, and she wasn't even kidding, she was genuinely confused as to why she didn't want bacon in a veggie dish. It took her about 10mins to take four people's orders and she kept messing them up, even though they were simple orders. She also said we could pay by card then changed her mind back and forth on the decision a dozen times. I would have felt sorry for her if she wasn't so rude, she seemed like she couldn't care less. After waiting what seemed like forever for our food, a different member of staff brought the wrong orders to our table twice. Ten mins later we seen the waiter walking about with our food as if he was lost, we said we think that's our order and he replied rudely saying it's not ours... only to come crawling back a minute later when he realised it was ours. No apology, just slammed the food down on the table and stormed off. The food was cold and even though it was cheap, it still wasn't value for money. The entire building smelled funny. It was a nice day yet they had the heating up full blast, the temperature was ridiculous. We entered happy and full of energy and left drained and annoyed, the place literally sucks the life out of you. Without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any country in the world. Will never ever revisit and recommend people to try anywhere else...
