Avoid at all costs. I have no idea how this has gotten so many good reviews... im baffled!?
I booked this for my birthday event seeing the good reviews and awards, never been but was excited.
Firstly the woman at the door was so incredibly rude, told us that we had 25 minutes to make our order to trigger the bottomless which was fine. As my friends started arriving they had to wait in a queue that took 15 minutes alone - there needs to be more staff on the door showing people to their tables. As the rest of my friends filtered in they all commented on how rude the lady at the door was! I get its a Saturday and busy but there's no reason to speak to people in a manner unwarranted it just sets a bad precedence for the day. We had the bottomless brunch and the staff were attentive to begin with by keeping us topped up but I'm absolutely certain there was zero alcohol in these. I had about 9 glasses and as lightweight felt nothing - good for hydration though! The brunch food came out stone cold and a couple of people commented how their bread was still frozen. As the afternoon ticked and the bottomless finished we ordered more food - chicken wings and chicken burger and these were so tasteless i can't explain it, it tasted watery and unnatural - another sign of cooking from frozen. We also ordered pitchers of Pimms and they were so gross, they were mixed with soda and not lemonade and tasted weak! As if a dash of pimms was put in the pitcher just to give the pitcher of soda some colour. We'd had enough at the rate and decided to voice our concerns and the very young man said 'I'll see what we can do' and he was never to be seen again.
1 star are for the covid restrictions in place. In all honesty this place is hectic with overworked staff who aren't well informed on their drinks or food or time nor do they care for customer service. So disappointed, in all truth id love my money back but I just can't be bothered to deal with the head staff...
Read moreWe have been to the Aeronaut on 3 separate occasions; once as a group for drinks (really good), once as a couple for food (average and not many veggie/vegan choices for mains) and most recently last night for the Dragons and T*tties show in the circus. I booked front row seats and we got there for 7pm as stated on the ticket, just to be informed that the show doesn't start till 9pm! I think it would be helpful to have this written somewhere, as we rushed over for no reason. Anyway, we headed to the beer garden which is far and away our favourite beer garden in London. It is HUGE and all the booths are themed like fairground stalls (hook the duck, etc) and have lovely heaters and blankets for cooler evenings. At 8:30pm we moved into the performance space, which is decked out like a circus tent. We had a very wobbly table and our seats were not what I would personally call 'front row' but perhaps the people there paid more, or were friends with the performers. The show was good fun if you are a Game of Thrones fan and don't have any wild expectations. The lady playing Cersei had an incredible voice, and the aerial performer/contortionist was a stand out. Some of the jokes fell flat and I did feel like some of the segments could have been shortened, while other lengthened (such as the 'shame!' part) but this is not the West End, this is a pub in Acton. And I imagine they will keep refining and improving the show as they go along, as this was only the second night ever. We had a good time, the drinks were fairly priced, and after the show the place turns into a generic bar/club with a dancefloor and pop music, which was fine by us. I'd definitely go back - I've heard good things about the circus night so maybe we will try...
Read moreI used to love coming here as I'm a local but went back recently and was disappointed with the experience, was planning to stay until 6 and booked the table until then so 2 and a half hours but left after just under an hour. The drink we got was very watered down, our servers were lovely but heard some of the other staff arguing loudly by the outside bar which wasn't really nice to hear or professional, one of the staff on the door was also quite rude to us on the way out. We were waiting in the shaded area just inside while one member of the party was using the toilet as it was very hot outside. I was with two children (11 and 12 so not young children) and they were asked for some reason 'are you with your parents' i am not their parent but i was supervising them as the parent was in the toilet and they weren't doing anything wrong. We were then asked not to stand there so basically told to leave when we were on the way out anyway and no one was waiting to come in or out so we weren't in anyone's way. I felt that it was a rude way to be treated after us spending money there and booking a table and am glad we left to go and get food which didn't have a reduced menu at The Chatsworth just up the road. Much better food, no watered down drinks and more welcoming atmosphere. It's a shame as i used to love the aeronaut, i understand coronavirus has meant some changes came into place but the attitude of some of the staff seemed unnecessary when i would have thought they would be making more effort to welcome people. Anyway our table servers were lovely and the seating outside is very nice on a positive note so thank...
