Chicken Land — Restaurant in London

I live locally - in this area for over 25 years, so when they first opened around 5ish years ago I was so excited lol!

From the offset they had amazing customer service, took pride in their appearance (the place is clean - especially for a chicken shop!) and the food is delicious.

I don’t know why I didn’t review them earlier, stupidly I must’ve thought “it’s a chicken shop, what’s the point of reviewing them” until one day (today) did it really sink in that the staff here have been:

1- continuous (low staff turnover which mean they were familiar with the locals, and always know what I want)

2- so kind, even to kids and it’s very sweet - there’s this kind woman that’s usually there (and she’s beautiful too) and I genuinely feel happy when I see her

I also looked through the reviews and thought that some of the comments made were unfair. Firstly rent prices increase, and the staff have to make a living so makes sense to increase prices to be aligned with the cost of living. Secondly, they can’t control their suppliers as there are a lot of nuances people don’t understand about businesses. Finally, JustEat and other delivery services can be shit and this ain’t a reflection on their business - I’ve had plenty of issues with delivery drives and companies from different restaurants!

At the end of the day you need to be realistic, it’s a chicken shop not a Michelin Star restaurant and they’re doing the best they can given the current standards of food places in general!

The Fries have gone downhill , go back the the old ones , the ones you been using for the last 4 months are really rubbish , Who tasted these and said yes we will replace the great tasting fries you once had with these nasty fries ?
