We recently had dinner at this restaurant and, unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. We were really hoping for some authentic Thai food, but what we got was far from that, leaving us quite disappointed. While the service was quick and all the food arrived at the table at once, the quality of the dishes didn't match the speed of delivery.
We ordered several dishes, starting with the Thai Sikhrong Pork, which is essentially pork ribs. To our surprise, the ribs tasted exactly like the pre-cooked ones you can buy at Iceland, and the portion size was pretty small for the price. We couldn't believe we were charged £9.9 for something so basic and unremarkable. It didn't feel like good value for money at all.
Next was the Green Chicken Curry, which looked strange right off the bat—it had a weird green color that didn’t seem right. Taste-wise, it was bland, lacked the spice we expect from a green curry, and overall, it just had no depth of flavor. Honestly, we’ve had better green curry from Tesco. The Pad Thai was another letdown. It was bland, lacked the traditional sweet, sour, and savory balance, and to top it off, the lime that came with it was rotten! That's really unacceptable, especially for a dish that's supposed to be fresh and vibrant.
We also tried the Tom Yam Goong, which is usually a classic favorite. But instead of the usual spicy and sour punch, this version came with noodles (which we weren’t expecting), and it was overly salty without the proper sourness. It just didn’t taste right at all.
Despite ordering multiple dishes, we left the restaurant still feeling hungry, which says a lot about both the portion sizes and the overall satisfaction with the meal. The only thing that was somewhat decent was the wine, which ended up being better than the food itself—a strange highlight for a place that’s supposed to serve authentic Thai cuisine.
Adding to the disappointment, the cleanliness of the facilities wasn’t great. And there wasn’t even any toilet paper provided.
If you're looking for real, flavorful, authentic Thai food, I would not recommend this place. The prices were on the high side, but the food quality was well...
Read moreThe worst restaurant when it comes to Service and Food Quality. We went as a family (first time) to enjoy great food looking at good reviews. However, surprised at the way things turned out. Let me start with what’s bad. Food / Drinks - Ordered the below Chicken Satay - Dry chicken in peanut sauce that lacked the taste. 0/5 Red Jungle Curry - Yuks is the only word to describe. Pathetic and tasted like chicken broth with salt and red chilli powder. 0/5 Egg Fried Rice - Too bland and felt like they used a rotten egg as we could not digest coz of the smell. 0/5 Classic Pad Thai - This was ok sort of. Normally pad Thai are broad flat noodles, here it was more like 2 mm broad .. and chewy! 1/5 Bangkok Mojito - Plain lime juice with loads of ice and a slice of lemon. Where’s the Bangkok simplicity and with just 2 leaves of mint.0/5
They didn’t have Mango lassi and Lamb shack! A disgrace as they should not be mentioning in their menu!
Now the good food / drink Calamari - I can’t say it was the freshest but was tasty. 3/5 Passion Fruit Lassi - Could have been better with little more yougurt mixed. 3/5 Prawn Crackers - The best amongst all. It was crisp and tasted beat with sweet chilli sauce. 5/5
Oh I did order Chilli Prawns Rice which apparently our host Samantha forgot to key in first time and when asked where my food is - she keyed in and I cancelled if waiting.
Service - A big ZERO - 0. We had to ask them to give plates, water, cutlery, etc everytime. As if they can’t see if the plates can now be picked up. Spoke to the manager who apparently gave us the plates when asked, shared the experience and she just said “thank you for the feedback”. I guess she does not know how to speak to customers.
Moreover I didn’t leave a Service Charge as it was the worst customer experience ever had. Definately a NO again to this outlet and will share feedback with friends and family members to avoid going to this place as they will regret. Few pics that we took and the bill ofcourse! A total...
