Absolutely vile place. The food was abhorrent and without flavour and the service was utterly dire. I ordered a chicken tikka roll with a naan and salad from the menu and I saw that it was listed on the menu that chips & a drink would be £2 extra which I did order, so I stated my entire order categorically to the individual who came to take it down.
So the chicken tikka roll came with the naan and salad as well as the drink, the chips had not come yet, and the waiter did not mention anything so I assumed that they were coming back with the chips, a few minutes passed and nothing. Then I called over the guy and asked where are the chips, he said they are coming. He then came back a few minutes later with the chips. The food was absolutely bland, the sauces which were added to the roll did not compliment it at all not did it add to the taste, the chips were extremely oily that biting into them oil would burst into the mouth.
The time came to pay for my order so I proceeded to the front to do so. I was then told a price more than what was listed on the menu, so I questioned this stating why are you charging me £2 more than what was written, so the individual taking the payment said I gave you a large chips instead plus you ordered after your initial order. I told him look I already mentioned that I wanted some chips and a drink for the £2 stated on your menu when the other guy came to take down my order it's not my fault that he failed to tell you. He then replied saying but I gave you a large chips so you have to pay, I said no it doesn't work like that it says regular chips and a drink are £2 extra so I should be charged that, in the end he reluctantly agreed and charged me the correct money.
As I was walking out, he turns around to his friend and says 'Look at this fool, arguing about £2', I heard so I turned to him and said it is not about the £2 it is about the principle.
As a paying customer this is not the way you treat people at all £2 or not, if something is listed as a certain price then you honour that, I do not expect to be met with gnarly comments calling me a fool and whatnot. As mentioned It's not about the money but the principle of honouring advertised prices and...
Read moreI often order from Taste of Lahore and I've never had any problems with them before. However on this occasion, 2 meat samosas were missing from my order. As soon as I realised that these were missing, I called the driver and he said that I need to call the restaurant. I called them and the man said that they don't have any drivers and that they will include the samosas in the next order. I said no, I've ordered and paid for them and I want them now. He called his manager on the phone. The manager said that the order is complete on their side and if I wanted the samosas then I would have to place a new order. I said that I'm not paying for delivery and it's their fault and they should take responsibility. He said it would cost him too much (£8) to send out the samosas to me and if I want I can collect it. I said it's their fault so why should I collect it and he didn't seem to care that I would incur a charge again! Anyway, this went on and on. I'm just horrified that this person was a manager, someone who had no people skills and could care less about their customer. When I told them that I wouldn't be ordering from them again and I will be leaving a bad review, he said "I don't care." I honestly think that these type of restaurants don't value their customers at all, all they care about is their bottom line. I think UberEats should rethink the restaurants they partner up with. So, no samosas and the aloo paratha wasn't a paratha, it was a roti and it seemed that atta...
Read moreI came to this restaurant and ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, as I usually do when I go to most Pakistani restaurant. Lamb Rogan Josh? More like Lamb Tomato Puree. I was absolutely upset with this. I asked for it to be spicy it came sweet and literally only tasted like tomato puree. I asked to speak to the chef and I had asked him did you put tomato puree in the dish and he admitted to it I told him how I felt about the food and left. Traditional Lamb Rogan Josh doesn’t contain tomato puree at all I believe they didn’t have what I ordered and instead of telling me they are out, for me to order something else, they improvised them self's took whatever lamb they had from another dish and put tomato puree to make the curry for the lamb pieces. This is not what a chef does the person who did this should be ashamed of himself. If this is what they do I don’t recommend this restaurant at all basically this means if you order something and they don’t have it they will give you whatever they want. Also just too add waiter didn’t know what chutney was when asked for it also seemed like he felt a type of way when asked for empty glass...
