We called in here for a quick lunch on a warm Thursday in July. We sat outside under the awning surrounded by a great atmosphere made up of solo diners having a coffee, families with children having a late breakfast and friends catching up over lunch.
We were instantly given a warm greeting by our server (I believe it was Peter but can't recall), who informed us of a chicken dish he had just finished cooking and even showed us photos of it on his phone.
It was clear this was someone who was really passionate about food and food service, and we knew we'd made the right call in taking a seat.
We opted for burgers which were very reasonably priced. They arrived quickly and were very hot, served with chips. We were surprised that at this price point they were served in brioche buns and a really good portion size.
We had a few more soft drinks outside after we finished eating and again experienced fast and friendly service.

Read moreLovely location with seating inside and out, very clean restaurant and staff are attentive but the quality of food and portions are very poor - to no-one's benefit.
Saw some other diners eating breakfast and thought that the food looked ok. Wasn't that hungry so ordered a sausage sandwich and received a single sausage sliced into 4 in a supermarket sliced white loaf, perhaps Warburton's toastie at best.
Partner had an almond croissant that was stale. Coffee was very poor being nothing more than bitter black water.
You can eat significantly higher quality food for lower prices in Bloomsbury high street. Otherwise just visit the other cafes on this street.
Overall this place looks really nice but customers are being charged as much as possible the cheapest possible ingredients.
A shame as the cafe is in such a good location that by really optimising value for the customer rather than themselves they could do a roaring trade in...
Read moreThis place is wonderful. The food is awesome. The staff is friendly, especially Tony. I would recommend it to anyone finding themselves on Lambs Conduit around breakfast.
My family and I stayed at the SACO apartments a block away for a week in May. We stopped here our first morning because it was close to us, open, and had a good looking menu. Tony waited on us, making our 5 yo daughter smile immediately, calling her "princess." We had the smashed avocado toast with eggs and bacon, an omelette, and the fish and chips. Tony made a delicious fizzy lemonade for our girl.
It was all so good, we came back nearly every day for breakfast. I had the smashed avocado twice more, then tried the porridge, which was amazing. Our daughter had the pancakes, which was a sight to see, with fruit and honey and cream.
This place is no joke. It's delicious and the staff is charming. You won't be...
