Boswell Laundry — Local services in London

Very small place to wash your laundry. If you don't come very early you can forget about available washing machines and especially the dryers.Even if you are the first customer in the morning you will have to wait before you can use one of their dryers as the owner and her staff tend to be using all the dryers for their washing.The staff are always busy sorting out their customers laundry by blocking the area where my washing is being done.The two man working in the shop keep sneezing and blowing their noses too many times.At the same time they handle clean washing ( from their customers)with their dirty hands,folding the linen which keeps falling down on the floor,....At one occasion,one of the employees opened the dryer which I was using to dry my washing and started pulling out some of my washing to my disbelief!!!He was actually just checking if my washing was dry so he could put the next washing in. There is one young lady working there occasionally whom I saw only once and she was very polite and also clean.She was the only sparkle of that outrageous laundromat. Now,I use another laundry which is slightly further from my apartment and it's so much better as I no longer feel stressed up and upset when doing...

Boswell Launderette, what can I say?

After going through and using a lot of launderettes around central london, it seems that I have finally found the unicorn of launderettes in central london - if not London!

Boswell Launderettes is unlike other launderettes that i have used in London - trust me, I have used a lot in the past 4 years!

The staff and service at Boswell is impeccable to say the least. They always chat, help, and care about their customers. As soon as you come in through the doors, you will see their smiles and will immediately greet you!

Honestly, the staff at any launderette doesnt have to care or even bat their eye lids at you. But at Boswell, the staff will are very friendly and helpful, they will help, chat, and care for you.

At Boswell, you can rest assured that you and your clothes are looked after.

I can personally attest to their services by the fact that we use their services multiple times a week.

“My underwear were treated like rare comic books.”

The gentleman who worked there was amazing and accommodating. We came in the afternoon with 2 bags of clothes and we had the option of picking it up in the morning or washing ourselves. He guaranteed we would love our clothes if he washed them. So we took him up on his offer and he said they would be done tonight! We spent a few hours st the British Museum, then went back.

Our clothes were all folded and in a plastic bag to carry back to our hotel. Each type of clothes (socks, underwear, and shirts were all in their own sealed plastic bag.

My underwear (and all else) were treated like a rare comic book. They were folded carefully and placed on a cardboard back and sealed in a bag. They looked just like a comic book. My socks were the same and all socks matched with their pairs.

All of this for way less than the hotel...
