Let me begin by disclosing that I have serious hotel booking anxiety and it took me a long time to settle on a decision for our weekend in London. But, I can now easily say that staying at this hotel was one of my best hotel decisions ever! The staff are all extremely friendly, and the rooms were immaculately clean. The mini bar is well stocked and not too overly priced for the convenience. Loved the Nespresso machine and all the fashionable glassware. I was very impressed by the bathroom, which has all new caulking in the shower, very neatly and professionally done. The beds were very comfortable, and even a little too soft for my back's preference, but barely worth mentioning. Loved that the floor was not carpet! It was like a high grade high quality wood looking planked laminate or linoleum I think. Much more sanitary! The amount of space was very good for a family of 4, and the AC worked perfectly and was very quiet. The Samsung TV allowed us to cast from our phones via a QR code which was super convenient and easy. The arcade games in the lobby were free play too! The front desk gave my kids candy upon check in and greeted them happily each day with new treats like cookies or cake pops. There's also a free popcorn machine and the decor is so fun, vibrant and lively. Reminded me of my hometown of Miami. Tastefully art deco with an ultra modern and whimsical twist. I found the hotel to be family friendly, yet also sexy and intimate enough for those traveling without kids. Each floor had card access only to the corridors for security which was great, too. I can't express enough how good the hospitality was. The front desk stored our bags for free even after we checked out! They just offered and I didn't even need to ask! You don't get this level of predictive service often these days. We will definitely be back! That said, just to be totally honest, there were a few tiny negatives you must know. Some rooms don't have a view at all, so if that's a priority for you, I'd let them know at check in. Our room had a couple nonfunctional recessed lights and a lamp that was broken, but I'm the only one in our family who noticed. šŸ˜‚ It didn't bother us much being on the 4th floor, but the music from the rooftop club on the 9th floor could be heard in our room, but it was so muffled once we put on the AC we couldn't even hear it. We didn't do breakfast at the hotel, so no comment on that. We tend to just walk to a cafe while traveling and do a small morning meal anyway. We tried to book in at a pancake restaurant nearby (if you want an American style breakfast), but they were full. Everywhere else was English style breakfast or pastries, so we just went to a Nero. Speaking of walking, Holborn station is very close! Five minutes walk, maybe? British Museum nearby, too, and a ton of good restaurants! We did eat at the hotel restaurant and it was good as well! Service was a little slow, but they were quite busy. The lady expediting for the bar was so attentive and professional! Looked like she was picking up the slack for the rest of the team! Kudos to her. Oh, and if you like creme brulee or flan, try the Caramel Pop cocktail. Excellent!

MISS SOLD and Absolutely dire for a supposed 4 star hotel. We booked the NYX as they had a room suitable for 3 people and it was a special girls trip. the rooms are advertised as 2 KINGSIZE beds, when they are in reality small doubles. The woman on check in was abrupt. When I asked was the room ready she said ā€œyes. I AM checking you in now?!.ā€ In a condescending tone. As though I was asking for a lot for enquiring? . I checked we had the right room type and was told ā€œthat’s what WE call a kingā€, so they willingly are miss advertising. I don’t know how this is even allowed?! The woman also told me that ā€œwe have had people comment on this beforeā€ so it’s a clear issue also. Two adults sharing a small double bed when the room rate is over Ā£400 on a week day is ridiculous. . It was dirty- The ac vents were full of dust- which we discovered in the morning as my asthma was badly exacerbated. Even the curtains were thick with it! The bed frames were covered in splatter stains, the bathroom was dirty - the tap thick with timescale. The shower head was so dirty that the water had nowhere to come through and so bust out the sides and broke. We were also woken up by the sound & rumbling of the tube at 6am!! (We were on the 1st floor). . I made a request to be compensated with no response. I asked again upon checkout (as instructed) and I’m yet to hear anything from the manager. . NB- accessibility- There’s no toilets for the entire bar and restaurant. The staff couldn’t even tell me IF they had an accessible toilet. (They don’t), you have to walk through reception and down to the basement in the lift to the regular v narrow bathroom. So if you have disability needs AVOID. . Breakfast is lacking for vegan options (can’t make a latte or get hot milk for example), toast and jam or cereals only. No veggie sausages etc. I had to chase a member of staff who was very rude (Dan?) and totally unhelpful. Nobody seems to know what they’re doing? The lady making the eggs was very friendly & tried to help me despite being busy. She was the best staff member we encountered! . Stay at the Hoxton up the road and avoid nyx! Nothing like a 4* !

Horrendous customer service Amazing spa facilities and decor was very trendy. Hotel was clean, food was great and treatment was good! However customer experience and customer service needs to be looked at and improved. My brother and I stayed and booked a spa in January. As soon as we entered to check in the two front of house staff were chatting amongst themselves whilst checking us in. They checked us in and just asked for our surname. And failed to mention any of the normal details a member of staff would when checking into a hotel e.g. what floor the spa was, the treatment information, where the lift was located and what time breakfast was. We had to ask and work out some details ourselves. We had a dinner package with our spa booking and queried about this. The member of staff pointed over to the bar and stated we should just reserve our dinner with them. When going over to the bar staff, the male was quite rude and queried about us making a dinner reservation. When we arrived for our dinner reservation, the member of staff seemed annoyed as she was chatting away to someone else at the bar. We had to query her regarding the 3 course meal and what we could order as we explained it was part of a package. Breakfast staff were warm and welcoming! And there was a range of things for breakfast, it was a breakfast buffet and had cereals etc. We also asked a member of staff for a toothbrush as we had forgotten this and they said they would send this up to our room at night. We called the reception again and they said it would be fine. Hours later, they still had not sent it. And began to not answer the phone. The next morning we had to ask again, and then they sent it up. Overall amenities and the actual hotel is lovely. But the experience was ruined by the the rest of the team. I would not recommend unless the staff go through training or they replace staff with employees who can actually provide good customer service.

Our initial welcome was a little grumpy, but the 'bell boy' (a Polish man) was very friendly and offered us a most welcome glass of Prosecco - thank you! No worries about the room not being ready, we went to the bar, then sat outside, watching the world go by on a gloriously sunny and warm autumn day. ||Our room was ready by around 14:30, the very same 'little miss grumpy' was the epitome of friendliness this time round??? The room was lovely, spacious and well thought out, with a nice modern bathroom. Everything worked as it should. Lots to tempt you from the 'mini bar'................||That evening we thought we'd try the restaurant for dinner - it was fine, pretty decent prices too, very good quality cutlery and napkins accompanied by nice, casual but friendly service.||This is a hotel we would return to, but one thing we both found, let it down, was the speed - or lack of it - of service at the bar. On several occasions we'd order, there would be 3 or 4 staff behind the counter, but it would take 10-15 minutes for our drinks to arrive - when they were clearly NOT busy??? Not so bad when the drinks are supposed to be cold, but to wait what feels like an age for coffee is not ideal as it was only luke warm when you eventually receive it - and who puts chocolate on a latte? It would also be nice if the outside area was better managed, full up ashtrays and dirty tables don't look great outside, and detracts from what is actually, a very nice hotel! The chairs outside are pretty uncomfortable - I challenge any member of management to go and sit in them for 10 minutes to see what they think? We resorted to using the cushions from one set of seats as backrests for ours, that made sitting watching the world go by a far more comfortable experience.||Breakfast was nice, full self service buffet with an egg chef, the clearing of vacated tables was a little slow.||The pool was nice, I just went for a quick dip to freshen up after walking around London all day, but I couldn't find a member of staff in the Spa area to get a towel, so had to return to my room in the robe I came down in, which of course was soaking wet by the time I got back.||We didn't experience housekeeping, as the room hadn't been serviced by around 4pm, we put the 'do not disturb' sign on. We keep our room tidy anyhow and only staying two nights, had no need for new towels etc.||All interactions with staff were pleasant and friendly. The hotel boasts a funky style dƩcor, which sets it apart from other, more traditional hotels.||It was my husbands birthday weekend in London, the hotel left a card, cakes and a birthday message on one of the mirrors - thank you, that was much appreciated.||None of the minor issues stated above spoiled our enjoyment of this very nice hotel.||We shall...

I had booked a room via Expedia, for my family’s dream vacation in the UK and Europe, visiting from USA. We had just arrived when I get a call from Rowan that due to a credit card billing issue, my reservation was cancelled. Mind you this was after a 9 hour ordeal from JFK, flight delays and border delays (e-gates closed) in the taxi line, about 50 min from LHR on a Saturday morning check in, and we had friends in a nearby AirBnB coming to meet us. We are clearly tired and exhausted from just the flight alone. And now I’m stressed, sweaty and riddled with anxiety. Other hotels are now 500-1000$ USD per night. Some even $5000/night. Since we would have to book day of, my heart just sank. I’m literally boarding the taxi when this happen, and panic sets in. I plead and explain I had the previous night checked in and notified front desk (not Rowan) that my family’s flight was delayed to next day. So upon landing this was completely unexpected. Rowan listened and explained what occurred, what I later discovered was a technical glitch from Expedia (lesson learned to book direct to avoid this) that caused my CC to be declined, I had placed a travel notice several days prior, it was definitely Expedia’s fault. And validated that by using the same credit card to now pay in full.

Any case, Rowan took action immediately and got us a new reservation and worked with his front desk staff and room cleaners to get us a room.

Thank you Rowan and staff to saving the day and my family’s vacation. This was day 1 of 26 day vacation. And without your assistance, it would have started in a disastrous way. This was technically our honeymoon after 17 years of marriage as I’m now in a financial position that I can splurge vs being a ā€œhouse brokeā€ bachelor when I got married and barely afforded to pay for my wedding. So this trip was severely overdue.

On top of that; this place exceeded my expectations. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a great location. I’m in tech, and I appreciated the tons of various outlets, as not everyone packs a travel power adapter. There were a various USB ports strategically placed throughout the room. Which allowed us to recharge our phones (3) , tablets (1), and spare battery packs (2). They also have workspace area with surprisingly stable WIFI. We had a double bed room, and the beds are comfortable and temperature control and HVAC was easy to use. This is my 3rd time to London, but my spouse and children’s first time. I usually stay next to Piccadilly or Buckingham at 5 star hotels.

I’d say that it easily is better than it’s competitors due to the staff and customer service. I travel a lot for business and I rarely remark on staff going above and beyond.

This place deserves 10 stars.

Whenever I return to London I will be staying here, and...
