Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

While waiting for my car to charge, I decided to take advantage of a breakfast bap deal priced reasonably at £7.49. At the counter, I became absorbed in observing the supervisor as she handled a potentially tricky situation with a returning customer. The customer complained that a previous decaf coffee tasted like water and had to be discarded. The supervisor calmly apologized and promptly offered a stronger replacement, explaining the differences in how decaf coffee is prepared compared to regular coffee. Despite this, the customer remained dissatisfied and continued to voice complaints about the earlier coffee.

Undeterred, the supervisor prepared the replacement coffee, likely as a takeaway. At that moment, distracted from my own concerns, I accidentally spilled my coffee all over the table, chair, and floor. While I was trying to clean up, a delightful barister who was in training —whom I later found out was on her first day—politely stepped in to help, allowing me to return to my meal.

The supervisor then kindly offered me a fresh cup of coffee. At first, I declined, feeling responsible for the spill, but she insisted, and I gratefully accepted. I was genuinely impressed by the supervisor’s fair, calm, and straightforward approach, which reflected excellent...

I come here quite regularly as I’m local and my daughter loves the cheddar cheese toastie… so today ordered usual, it was burnt so I went back and they took it back and madestarted to make another one, a family comes after me and gets the same toastoe served before me i had to vet up and get mine, so I was obviously irritated so I mentioned they came after me… before i can complete the asian barrister was like “liste to me listen to me dnt get angry, we put yours together” and honestly i lost interest in talking with him because hos approach to me was rude yes I was visibly annoyed but, instead of letting me complete my sentence he shuts me up terrible service, he should apologise and difuse the whole thing but no he had make it out lile im angry he’s lucky im a calm individual i could have stood there snd made a scene… but i decided i didn’t want to ruin my daughters lunch time just eat and get out but this guy was in the wrong burn my sandwhich and serve someone else instead of me. One of the best Coffee shops by far , the coffee is the best. (Flat white is my favourite and it's the same all the time ). Also , What makes this place great is the staff. The staff are so so friendly and welcoming, The staff are so focused and professional at all times, this branch is so busy at times and the way the staff handle the situation is incredible. How they remember all the coffee orders bedazzles me .. I surely couldn't do it , I'd get everyone's order wrong "lol". Once I went there at 8am on a Sunday ... I was the first one ☝️in and even then the young lady and gentlemen had a smile for me , I surely wasnt smiling going to work on a Sunday .. but this just shows the professionalism within the staff.
