Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. I requested a replacement bun, as the one served was burned. The staff responded with, “That’s how we do it, you can ask anyone here,” which felt dismissive. I was simply there to enjoy a coffee and a bun, not to debate preparation methods & not ask another customer here!

As a customer, I shouldn’t be expected to know how your oven works. When I asked for a replacement or a refund, on 2nd bun I was instead shown how the oven operates. After about 20 seconds, I asked them to stop it, and the response I got was, “I thought you wanted to see how it cooks!”—which was frustrating.

Me and my dad decided to got to Costa for breakfast since he had a free drink voucher. We normally go to the Rayners Lane branch but I had a play date at my friends house after. Anyway, we received a warm welcome by the staff. I ordered a Tropical mango bubble frappé, unfortunately they ran out of the bubbles but the employees apologised. My dad ordered an Americano, he asked what size is available for the voucher and one employee enthusiastically said, ‘ go for a large if you want!’ The food was really tasty and I would like to give credit to an employee who had their first time working there . i came in here and ordered a vanilla ice latte and attempted to get a panini as well. they made my latter wrong, and i could hardly taste the vanilla and they didn’t add the sugar to the espresso so it didn’t dissolve and i had clumps of sugar in my drink. as well as them giving us take away cups, so they don’t have to wash up, they also turned off their oven early and refused to let me have a panini despite them shutting in an hour, all because they want to leave early. the girls running the place had airpods in and was on their phones and overall didn’t seem very happy to be there. i overall had a bad experience with this place and...
