Creams Cafe Morden — Restaurant in London

Waited an over an hour for our order, aswell as other customers in the restaurant. I indeed a chocolate fudge cake and custard but was given ice cream instead. I queried this with the staff who had just brought my plate over and he said no problem he would change it, so Rather than him take my plate back to the kitchen he stuck his hand in my plate and took the little tub if ice cream away, but in the process of him doing this his little finger touched my cake!! We complained to the woman who was taking all the orders,, who apolosied and said she would bring me another. I could see into the kitchen young man who served me making some kind of remark to his colleagues and body language to say he just touched the tub of ice cream, his other colleague then Threw her arms in the air as to say what's wrong with that!! Firstly, lack of covid-19 restrictions , lack of staff mirale no customer service, staff need to be shown how to have more common sense working in the food industry, as well as being out through training in handling food, customer service and manners! Head office needs to make an unexpected visit to the branch in mordenand observe. Readither customer reviews and take on board the staff can't simply get the orders right@ Extremely disappointed, especially that we had taken our kids out for dessert and leaving at 12.0pm without any food. Other customers had brought their children in too and complained of waiting over anh our!! Astonishing and dumbfounded in this current situation people loosing their jobs, businesses closed , they should feel privliged...

I am a huge fan of Creams but the one in Morden has been a major let down, twice now. I recently moved in the area and so thought I’d try it. The first time I visited to order my go to Oreo Milkshake. The lady behind the counter didn’t even recognise I was there or that I had pressed the bell at front because she had AirPods in each ear, in her own world. However that never stopped me ordering again. I ordered through UberEats on todays date, again an Oreo Milkshake. The milkshake tasted off and smelt sour. Having tried it I was unsure if it was the plastic cup or the straw at first, yet even having poured the drink into a glass.. the smell and taste was still present. I went through so much effort thinking surely the place wouldn’t give me a drink that is off, right? My stomach has been in absolute agony and I genuinely believe this is as a result of the milkshake having expired milk. Because that is the only explanation behind that smell, that taste and the pain I feel after drinking it. Be my guest if that is the quality of...

The food was very good, eating in. ( please don't compare food that you get delivered. You know it won't be the same. Ice cream melts it will be soggy)

However, my issue is with the service. It started off well, placing an order and getting seated. However, after that it becomes annoying. I stood at the counter for 3 minutes before someone decided to come over. I know what your thinking, 3 mins is not very long. However, it seemed very long from the point that every member of staff from the kitchen sees you standing at the counter and makes no attempt to acknowledge you. There was no "we will be with you a sec" or "just coming". They kept on looking over and no one came. Everyone just carried on working. Kept looking at me, making eye contact but no one bothered. Maybe I'm looking too much into it? No one even said bye or thank you for coming when we left.

Maybe retraining to add customer value and add to the whole experience of being in their establishment...
