Creams Cafe Romford — Restaurant in London

Im only giving the 1 star because there is no option to leave 0 star. I visited this place yesterday evening at around 9:15pm with my family thinking it would be a nice treat. As soon as we stepped into the store there were 4 European female workers behind the counter who without greeting us they looked at each other sarcastically as if we weren’t suppose to be there. As we approached the counter to place our order one of them straight away said that if it’s eat in then we’ll only be giving u takeaway boxes/cups and we don’t have any waffles or Crêpes . my wife was taking family pictures of us when one of the staff members quickly interrupted in a Rudely manner demanding my wife to stop taking pictures and demanded that the pictures were instantly deleted. To which we deleted the pictures to respect her wish , and we started to place our order and told the staff that we had deleted the pictures but that didn’t help change her attitude towards us and made us feel very uncomfortable. So at this point it started to really upset the whole family that we’ve come out as a family to enjoy ourselves where as the staff was not leaving any stone unturned in order to upset and hurt our feelings.so I asked to speak to the manager the girl serving us claimed that she was the manager but refused to give her name upon hearing this I told her that I will be making a complaint to the creams head office. according to the receipt her name was rafina. We ordered 2 ferreo Roche milk shakes and 2 scoops of mixed chocolate flavours ice cream instead she only put both scoops of the same ice cream flavour. Our experience has been extremely traumatising I didn’t expect a big franchise like creams would employ staff who will treat us like this. what really shocked us was that one of the staff with white joggers and a black Nike t-shirt had the audacity to follow us out of the store filming me , my wife and my children who were clearly underage and I now fear for there safety after she threatened to put us on the social media We felt completely appalled by the whole ordeal experienced...

As you can tell by my other reviews, I’m not one to complain. But Creams in Romford is an all around no from me. Me and a friend went specifically for the vegan dessert menu, but it’s safe to say we won’t be going back. Customer service was abysmal, aside from being ignored at the door clearly confused as to whether we seat ourselves or wait to be seated (with new covid rules), I asked to add the 15% student discount onto my order to be told they don’t do student discounts when it clearly says on the student beans app that they participate. Once I showed her the app I got denied the discount once again because I didn’t carry my ID with me (this is understandable, but an annoyance as I’d already been brushed off). Our order was brought over, and our cookie doughs came on skillets which we weren’t warned were hot. My hand brushed the skillet as I picked up my spoon and it burnt my hand! Aside from this the food was average, the cookie dough was undercooked (dare I even say cooked, it was more like warmed up) We didn’t even bother complaining to the manager as she didn’t seem to care and had a bad attitude, so we’ve decided to contact the complaints department directly. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because I can appreciate it is a rough time for business/staff as the moment and I would like to chalk some of this...

I will not be returning here after the waffle i was served, i paid £10.95 for a waffle which was heavy, stodgy, dense and tasted like batter, with a rationed portion of chocolate sprinkles, white chocolate hazelnut spread and 4 pieces of kinder bueno and a tiny scoop of ice cream which costed me an extra £2:50. My boyfriend also got the Oreo waffle and once again the toppings were extremely rationed, we have had the Oreo waffle in other cream cafes before and the difference in the topping portion was very noticeable. All of the other creams i have ever been to the waffles are light and fluffy and are coved in toppings.
