The staffs lack coordination for the price they charge Also the food is not worth the price Place is not as clean even tho it’s brand new and just recently opened Menu is very basic, and very few choice of food The order menu is on a greasy oily iPad, which some dish don’t even have picture, so you don’t know what it is by looking at a Korean language
Bbq meat is served, and we sitting there for 5 minutes looking at the cold stove, thinking it’s turned on, when no one came to turn on the fire for us. Soup is served, turned cold, and the rice we ordered still never came unless we ask for it, by the time the rice came, the soup is already cold and salty, very gross to eat
Staff running everywhere, no designated staff for each area and table, so expect you either be completely forgotten by every staff, or having different staff walking pass you, asking you the same question on repeat. Very chaotic
We ordered some steak and chicken for BBQ, but not as the normal Korean bbq restaurant, they don’t provide fresh lettuce to wrap the meat, no sauce to dip in, nothing, just bare meat off the stove And no signature Korean appetiser such as pickled dishes before the meal to open up your appetite
If u want sauce, u have to ask for it, and the sauce is just basic Korean chilli sauce you can get at any oriental supermarket Cheese corn is very blend and no flavour, fried chicken and soup is very salty. Sadly I don’t think I’m returning anytime soon
The only 1 star is only for the waiters friendly attitude who keeps apologising and say sorry for everything, that’s about it
£80 for two, we would probably rather choose the food stall in the neighbourhood If you never had Korean bbq before, and had a very low expectation, you might find this place is just fine, but with this high price, they missing and lacking so much in every aspect Just a few add on, such as the lettuce, sauce, pickled dishes, and a rice that can come with the soup rather than ordering desperately, the level of satisfaction would be greatly improved. And feel more justified with the price they charge, I mean that’s literally the most basic thing in every Korean bbq place we’ve been to This place is not run by a professional restaurant owner for sure, I appreciate the enthusiasm for opening a restaurant, but at least have some basic operating structure and full menu ready. The best thing I had the entire meal was the £3 can of Coca Cola on ice, which quenched my thirst after that horrible salty and dry meal A shame they do Korean food like this, gives the Korean food a bad name for those first timer
No decoration on the blank wall, greasy table and faux leather bench, loud Kpop music blasting in the room, nothing to lay eyes on like a K-pop TV Accompanied by low standard food, chaotic service, tiny menu, super high price. Very very...
Read moreI normally only leave positive reviews but this restaurant really needs to improve if they want to succeed.
I've been to all the main korean restaurants in London, New Malden and also been to South Korea, so have a lot of experience with korean food. I live in the area so really wanted to love the place but it was a disappointment.
We ordered bbq meats, jajangmyeon, drinks and some banchan. The meats came first, then after a long wait we asked where the rest of the order was, they asked what was missing and brought only half of the side dishes we ordered. Still no drinks or noodles at this point. We had to ask several times for the drinks and remaining food, at this point we already grilled half of the food, they told us there was no seaweed, brought the drinks but still no noodles. We asked again for the rest of the order, then they brought more meat and lettuce which we hadn't ordered. It took probably 6 or 7 interactions with different staff members until someone from the kitchen came asking what was missing and told us they weren't serving jajangmyeon that day, which someone could've said earlier.
I understand they just opened but they really need to be more organised and in sync, the service we experienced was terrible but I don't even blame the staff, you can tell it was lack of preparation.
There was also no support from staff when grilling the meats (in case you don't know what you're doing). Bulgogi has marinade and juices which burn after you finish grilling and there was no way of removing it to the side so it doesn't burn, in other places they come clean that up for you, instead we had to remove it with the tongs and put it in a plate but there were still burned bits remaining. You don't really have control over the heat since it sits on the side of the table. We never had anyone offering to help while we were trying to clean the grill but when we were finishing grilling pork a new staff member came to tell us to remove the meats because they were already done and there was a burning smell going to the restaurant, yeah it came from the marinade/juices of the previous meats that we tried to remove, we were then grilling pork which was still raw. They could've been more helpful before.
The food was fine, the bulgogi and LA galbi marinades were a bit too sweet, spicy pork could be a bit less spicy so you could taste the meat more but all the meat was good quality. I was expecting a better quality of kimchi, you can tell it's a cheap store-bought one. Still expensive for what you get.
You could order everything from the tablet and no one would tell you what things weren't available until you realise they were taking too long. The staff even confirmed our order when we placed it and never mentioned anything. Please just mark them as unavailable...

First thoughts were good, staff really welcoming and obviously the grill right in front of you - very exciting. I have to say the food was very very good! The Japanese Wagyu steak is just melting in your month - a brief point to highlight to the team; I appreciate it is very expensive but as part of the special menu we barely tasted it after it was cooked, so again get, it’s expensive but please consider the size of it when it cooks and shrinks next time.
In terms of the staff, first I was slightly confused by the waiter standing in the corner and just observing all the tables on one side - then I kinda got it they were checking on when to change the grill. What I really did not appreciate is no tissues or cloth on the table or anywhere near to take ? Had to ask for them a few times. Please give people a bit more sauce, again awkward to ask for it a few times.
Finally, I do fully understand 14th of Feb is probably the busiest day of the year, but how surprised were we when 2hours and 15 mins into our dinner we were told that the reservation is only for an hour and half..went to check the reservation email a few times, nothing on there and neither did staff tell us this at the begging, so we got interrupted in the middle of dessert as “other guest were waiting for our table”. Again I fully get it is busy and business is business but please tell people ahead of time so we can plan and eat accordingly (just to explain a bit further we wouldn’t not have ordered bottles of wine if we knew … and 1.5h when you have to “grill your own food” is not really a lot). Also with this in mind I had to ask the Waiter a few times to actually clean our starter dishes and bring the main and then same for the dessert, if you expect people to be quick ensure your service is adequate for that.
All and all good experience, not sure I’ll be back, and fully appreciate it could be just that we were there on the 14th of Feb, still every experience counts.
Love the concept and food...
